I don't see the point in calling up Poulin if he's not going to play. I'd expect he'll be in, though if he plays badly Drake might get his shot
Caggiulla does have a decent amount of games, I wouldn't be shocked if Sullivan plays it safe and starts him over Poulin.

Honest question…do other teams around the league have the same reoccurring problem the Pens do where they list a player as ‘day to day’ for weeks and then eventually that player is on LTIR? It happened a few times last year and it’s already happened once this year with Blueger.

Maybe. I don't think they'd call Poulin up though if they didn't intend to play him. If they just wanted to play it safe they would have called up DOC in his place.

Not really because the Pens like to reward prospects for good play with a cup of coffee and a hardy well done lol…if they want to keep him at center then they have move Poehling off center and he’s played well, so why would you move Poehling mid-trip unless injury forced it…the only way I see Poulin slotting in is if another forward was injured last night that they’re just not telling us about lol

Name a top prospect who came up to ride the bench in the past with Sully? Poulin isnt making this team as a center anytime soon. They will make room for him. And its a plus he is versatile

They did it with Puusy last season.

Puusy played a game

The Penguins have recalled forwards Sam Poulin and Drake Caggiula from the @WBSPenguins.

Teddy Blueger has been placed on long-term injured reserve retroactive to October 11.

Well he’s at practice. That’s good news.

that’s good news really…if hes out there now, then hes in concussion protocol and they’re testing him out with some exertion I hope…still doesn’t look like he’s done enough work to be able to play in the b2b tomorrow and Tuesday

Not during his first call up.

Your right. I didnt know he was called up in feb. To be fair Covid made call ups weird. I do not think you take Poulin to Western Canada to ride the bench

He shouldnt play no matter what. No need to rush something like this. They didnt struggle to score last night,

Sullivan just said Jake had a chance to play on this road trip, which means he’s go8ng thru concussion protocol and could be cleared if symptoms don’t show up…

Was hoping DOC would get the call but hopefully Poulin gets a stint on the 4th line.

Pens now have almost two weeks to work on clearing cap space. Have to think Hextall is working on that. NO way they can have 83K of space when TB is back and the WB guys go back. Still think a D man is the best way to go. Dumo is my choice if POJ shows he can play up here.
