Nice to have a guy that's unimpressive in a game and just sweats 3 points. Hope Laf becomes that. Please start Igor again next game.
Panarin with a casual 3 point night.

My point is that if the idea is we need to fire Quinn because we need to get a coach who will do something no coach will actually do, then that’s not a very convincing argument.I mean absolutely, and if I was in the shoes of Quinn I too would rather play guys like Howden, Lemieux and Di Giuseppe besides Kakko or Lafreniere because they WILL get the puck out, are sound defensively (or atleast more sound) to kill time before putting Panarin and co. on the ice. But is it good for the club?
I don't think Quinn has an idea where he is going with this team. Constantly switching lines tells enough. And frankly, playing Lafreniere and Kakko around 10 minutes is just not acceptable. I'd rather lose games and have Laf and Kakko out there trying stuff, developing instead of this BS where we still lose with 1 goal or more, and have our future talents play less than 10 minutes.
Not saying you’re wrong (you probably are right) but if this team ever got its shit together along with Shesty being entrusted as the number one guy I would hope the combination of winning games and the kids contributing would be the way to go.In a way, signing Panarin was bad for us. Because it put our GM and coach into "win now mode". Well, we can't do it with this squad. But right now, Quinn is trying to save his ass by winning as many games as possible. This means, more icetime to Panarin, Buch, Zib, Kreids, Strome. And the bottom-6, who can keep it from their own end. Take a guess who is caught in the middle? Yup, Kakko and Lafreniere with less than 10mins icetime, constantly swapping lines etc.
What needs to be done, is fire Quinn. I mean no point trying to salvage this thing IMO, no offense to him.
Second, whoever comes second, should have the first priority in making Lafreniere, Kakko, Chytil etc. differencemakeres in the NHL. f*** the playoffs, I'd rather enter them when the team is ready.
Playoffs are nice when you have never had them (or had them for a long time), but ask Minnesota. Getting jumped from the 1st round 10 years in a row isn't that funny either.
I heard when you put Kreider, Panarin, Fox, Mika, and Strome together, it's like forming a gigantic Devastator power play.
Please start Igor again next game.

Yeah I definitely can see Lafreneire being that guy. I’ll tell you I liked what I saw from Lafreniere tonight. He was skating well and seemed more confident. Mostly the first period bc it felt like his ice time tailed off bc of the special team play. But I think tonight was a good night of progress him.Nice to have a guy that's unimpressive in a game and just sweats 3 points. Hope Laf becomes that.
Absolutely hilarious to do that, I was dying. That empty net goal was amazing. Casualy sniping it top corner with 0.9 seconds to go haha

That is one of the nicest en snipes you will see especially with dman covering most of itThat empty net goal was amazing. Casualy sniping it top corner with 0.9 seconds to go haha
Who would have thought we would get 1000x more value trading two seconds and Rick Nash than Stepan McDonagh and MillerOnly having to give up two 2nd rounders to get Adam Fox View attachment 391607
I just don't see how Kakko and Lafreniere can make it work in this system of Quinn's, where he really trusts his 3rd and 4th liners. The only way Quinn can make it work is to force Lafreniere and Kakko into 1st and 2nd line. Then he can run his 3rd and 4th as checking lines like he pleases. But what would that look like? Not saying you’re wrong (you probably are right) but if this team ever got its shit together along with Shesty being entrusted as the number one guy I would hope the combination of winning games and the kids contributing would be the way to go.
Quinn is gonna have to find a way to balance both and make sure he doesn’t “forget” to give Kakko and Lafreniere more minutes
They need their reps and whatever witch doctor is messing with us to f*** off.Yeah I definitely can see Lafreneire being that guy. I’ll tell you I liked what I saw from Lafreniere tonight. Just really need to get him ice time. Kakko too. They need their reps.
It's almost like when you start to play guys like 3rd or 4th liners, they start playing as such. They need their reps and whatever witch doctor is messing with us to f*** off.
Laf hasn't been blow-away fantastic but he could have 4 or 5 in 9 games, easily.
Have you tried clicking on the names?I give up. How do I vote?
Panarin is living off moments of individual brilliance. I agree. He is not close to last season's form.Buchnevich skeeted on the Pens tonight. They sweep this set if Shesty plays both games. If Geo gets the next game Quinn should be launched into orbit.
Not surprised Panarin has as many votes as he does, but he really wasn't good at all tonight.I'll take productive and bad Panarin over unproductive and bad Panarin though.

Can you imagine what Hayes, with his puck possession, could do for Laf?I just don't see how Kakko and Lafreniere can make it work in this system of Quinn's, where he really trusts his 3rd and 4th liners. Chytils injury is f***ing this up bad. Center depth is killing us.
Yeah he easily could have a good stat line while finding his footing in the league. With even average luck he could have 3-3 pretty easily right now. Like you said, he hasn’t been blown away great anything but he’s made some plays that were inches from goals. And he’s definitely finding his footing and looks better each game. Truly the toughest circumstances for this year for a rookie. They need their reps and whatever witch doctor is messing with us to f*** off.

You're new.Help please. I really don't understand how to vote on the three stars. Am I not qualified in some way or am I just ignorant?
