Every full draft of the Gen-Z generation has produced underwhelming players. Not sure how you can say for certain that this year going to be different. Players coming up now are playing against weaker competition than before.
I’m that I’m advocating trading our first. You have to play the cards you are dealt. But punting on seasons year after year in December need to stop. That is how a losing culture develops. Changes and progress in the second have to be shown.

I don’t know why some bother listening to the post game show or take the comments to heart. They’re very rarely going to criticize anything harshly because it’s the team they more or less work for. They’ll sugarcoat it for those who are more casual fans or aren’t ready to set fire to the organization because that’s what they’re obligated to do.

Well he probably should have been benched and sit a game or two, but Hughes' whole game is that unorthodox flashy risky style. Wide lateral passes, back passes, blind passes, dekes, chip ins, quick agile changes of direction.
Most of the time he seems to want to do the play nobody is expecting, which can cause incredible chances, but as or more often turnovers. It's also what makes him so good and exciting. If you coach all of that away what kinda player are you left with?

Either Ruff is not holding them accountable in practices or they are just ignoring him.
A good coach would have them drill the detail stuff endlessly in practices. No one leaves until everyone gets it right.
Ruff is so nonchalant with this team. Guys keep making mistakes and all he does mumble about compete and do nothing to correct them. Nirmal practice like nothing is wrong.

Well then they shouldn't have drafted him and definitely not signed him to 8x8 deal. If Hughes is going to be a star it's that style or it's nothing. And if you are right then this franchise is f***ed for years to come.
