Transfer: 2025 Winter Transfer Window - Rumors and Discussion

OK just got the breakdown of Simmons' deal
51M straight up
30M of easy bonuses
% on profit from selling clause (from the 50)

There's no way RBL makes money off that deal.

PSG also sold Ndour for 15M.
It really is a strange deal. I think Simons is totally worth that in a vacuum, but the length of the contract + Leipzig's normal mode of business makes this very weird.

Milan is poaching Levis Asanji from our academy. The freshly 19yo has 10g + 3a in 14 A-youth matches and has been a regular part of senior team trainings this season. Really going to be annoyed when we don't bring any striker in and this kid goes on to bang goals in left & right once he's fit *sigh*

Hopefully the BuLi gods take pity on us and give me Mouki, so his stint in the capital can be just as much fun as Kruse's was :yo:

Bedia is heading back to Young Boys, and luckily it looks like we're holding onto Vertessen & Leite.

Urbig to Bayern is official, if that hasn't been mentioned yet. I suck at analyzing youth level goalies, but Jonas stood out even before I found out he was highly rated. The first time I watched him play for the u17s, he had the ballskills of a midfielder.

Will be interesting to see if he's just another Nübel...though I never got the hype there...or if we are finally starting to move on from the Neuer / MAtS / Leno / Trapp / Baumann generation.

Haha, this is where I go “and?” Again, not sure why you’re mentioning Sesko at all. I also acknowledged the age difference in the post you quoted and while it’s not nothing it’s also not everything.

Not sure if this is a good thing for Bayer or not.

Wow. Good deal indeed. Also, doesn’t seem to be a RBLesque transfer at that fee.

I was agreeing with you that the age difference wasn't that big of a deal and admitting that I had mistakenly thought the gap was larger than it was...in my head, Boniface had just turned 24 while Gyokeres was 28 & closing on 29.

And I wanted to add more context to what I consider an interesting question; Gyokeres v Boniface v Sesko. As all 3 should sell for similar amounts in the near future and should continue to be excellent into the 2030s, as long as they don't get complacent.

F*** me are you unnecessarily combative lol; have you been hanging out with that Evilo-kid again? :-p

Daniel Levy is supposedly in Munich right now.

Beyond Tel, Spurs are also considering Tomori. Might depend on the extent of Dragusin's injury he sustained yesterday.

Gouiri really wanted to join OM though.

He's a mystery to me. He is technically way above most forwards, can dribble like few strikers, can pass, shoot like very very few. He's not a speedster, which is the only drawback he has.
But in Rennes, he was rarely played in a good position, on a team that coudn't score. I still expect him to break through at some point.

He seems to be 9.5 and some say he is a good fit for De Zerbi’s style.
He is still trying to figure things out with the NT, even if he has a scored a couple of goals here and there.

Shocked Brighton cut ties this quickly. EPL was always going to be hard for him to make it there. Still a top talent, hopefully he can get on track and progress.

Oh man, that 30 million really changes the conversation, but if they’re easy then maybe not so much. Still, that contract until 2027…. Really makes it confusing. I would have thought they just “pay” for Gloukh at the end of the season, but as you say they could well be desperate considering how this season is going.

Yeah, I did the same re: age.

Oh, I see. Sesko totally changes the conversation for me. One of those situations where if I’m a Sporting Director and can only afford one guy I have some thinking to do with Sesko added in.

I’m not being combative. Not tone in my post. I’ll save the tone for when/if my German U21s don’t pan out. Ditto for Stiller now that I’ve secured him.

You shouldn’t be shocked seeing as how I cut ties quicker than that. ;)

Reactions: Duchene2MacKinnon
—Gavi now renewed until 2030 as well. Big slate of renewals at Barca.
—There are a couple of sites that have player salaries and in my experience they don’t always align, so IMO take them with a grain of salt, but I’m seeing Araujo’s new salary at 10 million. Lower than I thought he’d come in at, but I’m guessing that is the price for his lower buyout clause. I’m fine with the lower buyout clause if that is the case.

@Evilo. Not seeing Ndour’s sale just yet. Who bought him? Besiktas?
