I looked at that hit on Motte again and it was not a dirty hit. It's just one of those unfortunate things that happen in a violent sport like hockey. People get hurt on clean hits. Could he have let up a little? Maybe, but it looked like he was committed to playing the body and Motte had just given up the puck. That being said I still think the Pens are dirt bags and a few of them would not hesitate to take a cheap shot at somebody especially if they are losing.
I don't think the hit was overly dirty (non suspendable), but Angello knew exactly what he was doing. Motte was in vulnerable position and he didn't exactly pull up. I really liked the Rangers response as well. Miller got right in Angello's face but didnt take a penalty, then Laf crushed him with a hit when he got out of the box. Goodrow playing mind games with Malkin was also a smart veteran move.
Its hilarious that Angello & Friedman, who most likely wont even be in the lineup in Game 1, showed more fight than the rest of the flightless birds combined
