Still, Giving up 6 goals each to Pitt and Detroit. Awful. Season over.
Totally awful but they did win the last two cups. I think they are allowed a little more of a let down to start the season. I would give them the definite of the doubt vs a team that hasn't made the playoffs and is trying.
But point taken only the first week lets see what happens saturday eve

The posts I have seen the last 2 days are as insane as my above post.

I mean it is and it isnt. I know the season is young and we have alot of new pieces to the team that will take time to gel together. But the problem is we all have high expectations for this team to do well, play a better style, see new line combos, see the correct calls be made (Never put tinordi in again and fire Geo into the Fning sun). So far honestly, none of that has been seen. We see the same old crap with this team as well. Putrid effort, lack of belief in their own talents to do anything offensively, and the same line combos that have haunted this team for years.

After watching just two games, i have honestly stopped believing we are a playoff team. Sadly we will be a bubble team in the same tier as the devils.

You have Zibanejad who couldn't drive play if you gave him a stick shift and a steering wheel, Lafreniere with the NHL body and QMJHL instincts, and Guru Chris who used to drive play, got hurt a bunch of times, and is now just an ok Wayne Simmonds.

And they're all out there babysitting each other.

That line has to go yesterday. Goodbye. Adios. 86 it. Burn the tape.

Gallant needs to build a time machine, go back, and never use them.

For all the talent they have, it's one my least favorite Rangers lines that I've watched.

This is the lines I want to see.

Laf-Mika-Kakko
Panarin-Strome-Blais
Kreider-Chytil-Goodrow
Hunt-Rooney-Reaves

Also thought Gauthier was invisible tonight.

This team isn't good enough to get off to a shitty start and make the playoffs. They need to right the ship soon.
Two teams we NEED to overtake to make the playoffs are without 3 hall of fame centers (two for pitt and one for wash).
If we are behind them still when those guys come back it will be that much harder. And the atlantic is just as strong if not stronger.

Really f***ing encouraging game. I don’t give a crap what happens 3 on 3, this team played with big balls in the 2nd & 3rd. The garden was electric tonight.

Once they learn to play that way with consistency, look out. LGR

Like Stemkowski said on the radio. Laf and Kreider BOTH need to be at LW so they can not both be on line 1. And again have no doubt Kakko is not gonna stick on Panarins line so move him when Blais is back.
Your lines make sense. If Mika and Laf continue to show zero chemisty Laf is gonna have to play with Chytil on the third line.

I’m so tired of the “got a point at least”. That’s a game good teams win. Your home opener, ceremony for one of the greatest players in the franchises history, you outplay them for 40 minutes…and it’s “at least we got a point?” God our fanbase is full of turkeys

Expect more! The ownership and FO certainly do. It’s not good enough. Now, we have a 4 game road trip. I can’t wait to see what’s in store! I bet it’s more positive analytics for our you g players without actual, you know, production. We will get a shit performance from Gerorgiev for sure.
Listen Debbie downer, we get a point yes, points matter, this team will get into a groove very soon and will smack opponents around, let them find their legs. The goalies are not the issue, shesty will play more games than Georgiev. We need time to gel and that takes patience. You’re the turkey for coming in here spewing negative bullshit. Some of us are trying to keep a positive attitude.

If Julien Gauthier is listed as playing 12 minutes, but made so little impact you thought he was scratched, was he really there?

LOL Gauthier forever. What a donut.

I thought he actually made some nice puck possession plays.

Now I am truly depressed. Goodnight everyone
and yes that line sucks. They have no clue what to do.

What was worse than the losing in OT was the two bros trying to get a f*ck Joe Biden chant going after the game, and the asshole who was screaming f*ck the democrats on top of his lungs and pushing people on his way to 7th avenue (was a boomer). Never been more embarrassed in my life.

It was sarcasm. It also doesn't mean the season is over after you are 0-1-1 or 0-2 with 80 games left.

Yes. It's not. But as someone staded, this team is not that good that we can leave points like this. This should have been 2 points. The Metro will be tough and before the season I predicted that it will be only by a couple of points that we either make or not make the playoffs. These points are massively important.

Strome and Panarin haven't bothered to come back into their own zone more than twice total in two games. You cannot put them with Blais who glides around following the puck in his own zone. It will be a disaster.

We got all these new forwards and we still lack enough defensively sound forwards to have a balanced lineup.

Kreider, Mika, Blais
Panarin Strome Goodrow
Chytil, Kakko, Gauthier
Hunt Rooney, Reaves

Not sure where Laf belongs. He isn't playing the right way. Until he starts taking a hit to make a play in the corners, I really don't know what to do with him. Tonight was a perfect example of this. A play that led to a really bad breakdown on a line change.

I'm having the same issue with Strome and Panarin too. They are letting the team down with their lack of effort in the backcheck.

Everyone blames Panarin and Trouba for the OT goal -- where was Strome? I'm not blaming him because maybe he went deep and had no chance after the turnover but i really haven't liked his lack of D. Our vets need to lead by example.

Trouba slowed down there. He could’ve caught up Heiskanen easily
Honestly it seemed like Trouba just overestimated the passing option, he was playing it as if it was a squared up 2 on 1 but the trailer was far enough back and he was close enough to Heiskenen that he absolutely should've went right at him. Trouba respected the pass too much in a situation where it wasn't really there.

Edit: going back and looking at it again Trouba played it perfectly up until the last second. If he went right at Heiskenen then the pass was definitely there for a breakaway for Seguin. Trouba was smart to match him in stride but he should've struck with his stick just a second sooner.
