Now I will say this, Zibanejad scores a lot and that still has a ton of value.

I wouldn't have him with a kid that has a bit of a learning curve at this level and Kreider out of position.

He had Heiskanen there until he slowed down. Watch the replay
He definitely did pull up when he could've tried to get his stick at least in the way of Heiskanen's wind up. But he played the sequence well overall, eliminating the pass

The beat writers go into the presser with their articles 95% done:

“Were you enthusiastic about the team coming back down 2-0 after last night’s collapse?”

“Was the emotion of the pregame a factor in the slow start?”

“What stands out to you about Adam Fox so far?”

Kakko hit the stick shaft and was robbed point blank yesterday and then hit the post today, he'll be fine. Laf is being used by his linemates as the puck retriever and I'm not sure he's come away with it once from behind the net. That's just not his strength (yet).

Tampa just lost to Detroit. 0-2 with 12 goals allowed. I guess the season is over. Isles lost 6-3. Season over for them too.

Theres a pretty big difference in talking about tampa who has won back to back cups than us and the isles who we know have consistently been in the playoffs.

Both are not like the rangers lol

- It was good to see Trouba and Miller looking much improved.
- Shesty is real NHL goalie.
- The first period was awful but the team picked up after that saving my blood pressure.
- Kakko with Panarin and Strome may get going later on but it really is not an ideal line, Kakko needs to have the puck more, Strome only sees Panarin and is too weak defensively.
- Strome is Strome, and the entire league knows who he is so he can't be traded easily. But something has to be done because Strome as 2C skews the entire top 9 even if he puts up points.
- I'm hoping Gallant takes charge and sort the veterans out and that this is still only the honeymoon period before decisions are made.
- Some rusty players here and there but that is typical of the first few weeks.
- Onwards and upwards.

So what. New season. They lost. Season over. No chance of them ever getting better. That's stupid right? So is half the shit being posted on here the last 2 days.

Come on man. If you cant see the difference between 2 cup wins and a perenial playoff contender compared to us. idk what to say

I'm not sure we'll ever see the full potential of Kakko in that current line. He still looks good, but we could get more out of him with proper usage.

The Isles lost against the Canes, who are considered by many to be one of the cup favourites. Tampa was down by 3 goals twice and still tied the game. That's a winning teams mentality right there.

You have Zibanejad who couldn't drive play if you gave him a stick shift and a steering wheel, Lafreniere with the NHL body and QMJHL instincts, and Guru Chris who used to drive play, got hurt a bunch of times, and is now just an ok Wayne Simmonds.

And they're all out there babysitting each other.

That line has to go yesterday. Goodbye. Adios. 86 it. Burn the tape.

Gallant needs to build a time machine, go back, and never use them.

For all the talent they have, it's one my least favorite Rangers lines that I've watched.
