I wish they figure this out sooner rather than later. Sure it would be awesome for Kakko and Panarin to share the puck perfectly with amazing chemistry but it's not gonna happen.
It could happen with a different center. Looks like we might get a look with Panarin-Chytil-Kakko because Strome is going into protocol:

Better hope they put up a show and Gallant never looks back.

Is Strome not vaxxed? Or is it a testing thing? Tweet is unclear.

No, you can test positive with both doses and you go into the protocol. Colorado was missing MacKinnon from their opener and it is still unclear if he can play in game two. Fully vaxed, asymptomatic. Yet in quarantine until they can have 2 negatives or 10 days of isolation.

Yeah I'm aware, it's usually just reported as such if it's a positive or close contact.

Lindell played a hell of a game last night.
Pipe dream but wish we had him..

I feel obligated to point out, amidst all the doom and gloom, that so far, Tampa got embarrassed by Pittsburgh 6-2 on opening night and followed that up with a OT win in which they gave up 6 goals to Detroit.

Vegas got walloped by the Kings 6-2.
The Jets floundered against the Ducks 4-1.

That's several teams that are expected to be among the league's best this season with very unimpressive starts. Do you think they're about to blow it all up, or are convinced that the window has slammed shut?

Of course bloody not, we're not even a week into the season!

What do ya know, Jerry Gallant was asked this morning about the OT goal and he called it a 2 on 1.

I'll start off by saying that I'm negative in game threads, but I think we're going crazy overboard here. I think Giants fans are negative but they've been the worst team in the league the last 5 seasons and a season is 17 games long. We're 0-1-1 in two games out of an 82 game season and we're already calling people busts and saying the team sucks.

until we see some progress and success with the team then yeah

that said, it was doom and gloom at the start of seasons even in the "winning" years.

people wanna see their team kick ass out of the gate and see the superstars take over etc.

Partially it's natural because if you have a two game losing streak in the middle of the season you have other games to fall back on and say "they're not that bad", but at the beginning of the season you don't have that.

This team was TERRIBLE to start the season in 2014 and even was kind of average when they won the Presidents' trophy until December in 2015.

You're right I dont watch any games I just make up things. Lindgren is a bad skater man, like, bad

The difference is he knows he is a bad skater so he never tries to jump into the play. Trouba, although also a bad skater, tries to jump into plays thinking he can play that game (he can't).

But he is a better option than Lindgren. Not close

Sorry, Lindgren is a much better skater, he can actually skate with the puck and exit the zone.
