Habs are amazing at finding 3rd and 4th line players 😅.
And yet you want one of the very few top6 players they have to risk injuring himself to satisfy your ego that someone should have jumped Noesen after his hit on slaf.

You don't understand leadership do you? It isn't my ego. I am a fan and watched no one step in to answer for that hit. Clendening last night didn't hesitate to go after a much tougher Josh Anderson did he? Read this post and know I am putting you on ignore once I post it. I don't have the inclination to discuss this topic with someone who probably has never been in a tough leadership position before.

gotta send a message, I agree 100%. Even if you lose, it's nice to know a teammate has your back, that's how winners are built.

Beck to Soo would be a great move for him.

He'd go from the worst offense in the OHL to the second best (behind only Kitchener).

He'd also go from the 8th placed team in the East to the 2nd placed team in the West,

He'd go join Owen Allard, who has been a frequent linemate of his during the WJC.

Still not convinced of his offensive potential. But we’ll see. I was surprised that Danault was able to develop into a 50 point player.

He has enough to score between 15-25 goals a year.. and his assist totals should reflect that same range while providing value in the face-off circle and shutdown game.

Beck was almost 70% on faceoffs in the tournament

Beck was great today. He drove his line. I found it interesting that he was more of a playmaker than a shooter. I thought he had a great shot.

You shouldn't expect much production out of Beck. He is a defensive forward who's going to be good on faceoffs. He could develop into a Danault type player, but I don't think there are many Danault type players to begin with. He's going to look better in the NHL than in other leagues because of his defense.

That's what people said about Jacob De La Rose.

If De La Rose could produce even a little bit more, he'd have had a long NHL career. His defensive game was really good.

In the offensive zone, De La Rose was a passenger. Not ideal as a center. Beck's motor alone should allow him to put up at least double the numbers of De La Rose.

I find the comparison between the players interesting, though.

No idea why people were expecting Josh Wawa type production from Owen..?

We're gonna be holding auditions for 3C soon on the Habs, and it's a formality because the job will be his anyway
at least 3-4 points i mean come on you can play defensively all you want but if your putting up 5-10 points a year you become pretty useless.

I’m not super bullish on Beck’s offensive upside but I think it’s fair to say that Beck has shown more offensive upside than DLR.

He’s an NHLer through and through and has the wrister off the rush of a top 15 pick. DLR didn’t have anything close to that in his arsenal. Bottom 6er who can play meaningful minutes and likely add solid secondary scoring is more than welcome

It's what gets said about every NHL prospect with enough skill to be drafted in the first 2-3 rounds that plays a strong 200 ft game and isn't a clear cut first round talent...

What matters is what he does to keep improving as a Pro. At this stage, it's hard to argue that he has done anything but improve the likelihood of carving out an NHL career.

Might as well enjoy the ride

Are we still stat watching players from the IIHF tournament? Doesn't mean sh**. Beck drove the best line from Canada today, didn't play that much though because that coach was turd.
