That was Maxime Talbot. The guy who came into your house and took the Stanley Cup in 2009, if I remember correctly.

Explains the 1g 2a -3 in those 7 games...I don't remember Bettman handing it to Max, but I do remember him carrying it.
All joking aside, themore than the final, the Pens-Caps series in 2009 was the best series I have ever watched in my 52 years, and the most important series of Crosby's career imo.

Teams win. Something Sid is ever thankful for...I wasn't aware that they gave the Stanley Cup to the player with the most points. From what I remember, it went to winners and not to the losers with more goals and assists.
Very thankful, since his teams have won a lot. I'm sure when they put him in the HOF he can talk about all the Cups and medals and you can talk to your friends about how many points he got.Teams win. Something Sid is ever thankful for...
Not as sad as all the top 10 lists without Ovechkin. This thread is sad.
They should award points for hits that lead to a goal.guys relax they are both awesome (one has like 2000 more hits then the other one)
Why sad, those are (mostly) canadian polls. Not as sad as all the top 10 lists without Ovechkin.
Just trying to liven up this thread a bitThis thread is sad.
That's sad!Not as sad as all the top 10 lists without Ovechkin.
Here you go.Not as sad as all the top 10 lists without Ovechkin.
A majority of time Crosby sat out for concussion reasons, many times forced through mandated protocols. Crosby, OV and most other top players play through injury. Bergeron scored two goals to win the cup with broken ribs. I do get the sentiment, OV is an absolute warrior.IMO ppg is pretty meaningless when a player sits out every time they have an ailment that limits their ability to contribute offensively on the ice. Ovechkin has said many times that he plays through injuries because he still draws defenders and gives other players more space on the ice. And I know there are many other players who do and have done the same, throughout NHL history, perhaps to the detriment of their personal per game scoring statistics but to the benefit of others on the team.
Not trying to be combative, but OV and Sid are both comfortably in the top 10.That's sad!
People listing their TOP-10s without Ovi included, and claiming they know hockey.
Even sadder, those clueless ones often include Sid to that list, without realizing that there are no place of Sid in it if Ovi isn't already included. It is the question of legitimacy of such TOP-10 listings.
Personally, both goes in, but only if Ovi is above Sid.
He is lol, he’s probably going to end his career with 20+ straight ppg seasons ahead of GRETZKYMaybe it is. Those were simpler times.
Maybe some day he’ll have a record all his own.
Meanwhile, Ovechkin…
I mean if you want to go in specifics, if you want to take a look, Crosby has dominated ovi in a lot of things (mind you I’m not even a Crosby fan I’m actually a huge ovi fan/ hockey fan) but Crosby does everything in the ice to make sure the opposing team doesn’t score while being productive offensively, he’s won 3 cups which of two he had conn smythes. I love me some ovi but what Crosby does on the ice is unfathomed.Bro goals are way more impressive...you win games with those.
This is a garbage takeIMO ppg is pretty meaningless when a player sits out every time they have an ailment that limits their ability to contribute offensively on the ice.
