That's the thing. They likely can't equal that 1st, so, like you said, they'd have to give up a better prospect, or similar prospect and another pick/better roster player

It just show how much faith teams have in this draft. First round pick are always to 10 protected or less but this year Lou evaluates that there's enough good prospects to be worth top 12 protecting it. I'd keep our Florida's pick unless it's outside of this bracket personally.

I wasn’t necessarily thinking about PLD. They where rumours not long time ago that Elias Pettersson could ask for a trade and he won’t resign with them. If he become available that pick become available. Even our 1st (if where not in the top 3) would be in my eyes

Am I the only one who thinks this is a really solid return? Beauvillier can rack up 40 pts, solid mid 6 forward, Raty is a solid prospect, and that pick should be top 20. For a UFA, I think a core player, a pro read prospect and a top 20 pick in a super strong draft is really good.
