josh norris coming back from the dead and being a rock is the best development of the season.

feel like our future success hinged on that.

although have you guys noticed he never takes those one timers that he was so deadly with before?
I feel like his playmaking has improved too.

I’ve always been a Norris fan but honestly did not expect him to be so good right off the bat. He looks like a more refined version of his old self which is great news for us.

On the down side, disappointing how empty the building was last night.

Ownerhsip in this city for years served us crap and then berated us for not selling out. Attendance is a billairaines out of touch way of telling people who have real financial stress they need to do more to make these millionaire players who haven’t made the playoffs in this city for 7 years or even shown a level of concentration over a 60 minute game you could believe in

Screw attendance watching, the games are crazy expensive, the arena is boring and was even boring 15 years ago, it’s far, people are busy and TV a sports coverage is incredible, the World Series is on.

Let’s stop beating ourselves up over attendance. Micheal Andlauer owns an NHL hockey team, if he wants more, Go back to Montreal and ask those people for it we owe you nothing, ask the sick people you serve to buy more medical equipment

This ain't it.

It's his first year really running this team as his, with last year as a total disaster. So there's bound to be a lag in consumer spending until we can trust that it isn't more of the same from the past 7 years. Not to mention, World Jr packages are in direct competition with discretionary spending on tickets (he receives revenue from both mind you).

But at a certain point, when the team is successful, and it is appearing to trend that way, we will have to reciprocate with higher ticket sales.

About last night, I want to point out that St. Louis looked like a minor league team on the road who started their backup. Nice to dominate a game, but not indicative of where we are at.

New York will be exponentially more competitive.

Thank you for imparting this great level of knowledge to me. You must be both old and wise.

Also I never said anything to suggest he wasn’t always a 200 ft player. I’d agree he has always been a 200ft player.
You're welcome. Old, yes.
Let me be more direct. You said "he's taken strides". I disagree. He wasn't himself ladt season. When he was, he was the player we're seeing so far this season.
Anyway, we're both pleased with his game. Let's enjoy before we're trading Brady and waiving chabot after our next loss.

Yes. There's literally nothing negative from last game, but much stiffer competition coming.

Great bounce back game. Boys were on it last night.
Shout out to Norris who looks like he is back. That is a boost for the team.

Ostapchuk earned more time up.
Brady did not look like he anything was ailing him.
Timmy was just his ordinary superstar self.
Chabot is playing energized

Attendance Is a reflection of ownership, not the fans. You have good ownership that fits your commutnity, you’ll have good attendance. Whatever profit numbers the NHL owners have - DONT CARE. f*** you and your entitled attitude to my pocket book

I just don’t think if we were leading the division that selling out would matter to anyone. Who cares? Like who actually gives a flying f*** if there were 16 000 or 18500 fans there yesterday? Great game, fun to watch, wasn’t there, I enjoyed it.

low attendance It’s a way for the media to beat up in the fans when they all the media get free tickets, and they do it because it scratches at the fragile ego of Ottawa people, because we think people on the rest of the country will think we aren’t loyal enough. Screw that weak line of thinking, if you want to go to a game, go, and if not, don’t go, you’re still a great fan.

Think it says a lot they are building smaller arenas then even 10 years ago. And much smaller.

I don't understand your argument. What do you mean "no one cares about attendance?"

If we want the owner to spend to the cap, fans have to do their part and pack the building. What message does it send to the owner to have a three quarter full arena? Yes it's expensive, but you either want an NHL team or not.

The Blues seem void of anything good, it should be noted. Maybe it's an off week for them or whatever, but peeeeu.

Robert Thomas is injured and is by far their best player.

Buchnevich is a pretty good 2-way player, Kyrou is a mini offensive dynamo. Neighbors is young and has shown he can score goals. They just stole Holloway and Broberg who both have upside. Perunovich should also be good. Joel Hofer has shown some good stuff so far in the NHL, it wasn't his best game last night but he was also left out to dry.

They have some solid vets like Schenn, Parayko, Saad, Faulk, Joseph, Binnington.

They also have some pretty good prospects in Jimmy Snuggerud, Dalibor Dvorsky, Adam Jiricek, Otto Stenberg, Theo Lindstein and Zachary Bolduc

They just had a bad game while we played a pretty good game

We have never sold out a full season. came close a few times but we won't until the move downtown. Even then we might not, and thats ok. Attendance is slowly improving which is nice to see.

Fans still need to show up in better numbers,

It's good to see a win and avoid that 3 game losing streak that's very common for this Team

Running up the scoreboard is all good and dandy against a checked out Team. I would really like to see this Team actually win tight games against Teams like Vegas especially when leading twice in the game.
This Team needs to learn to lock it down and not give up those dreaded goals at the worst possible times! And if you still manage to lose a game like that, then I would expect them to come out with fire in the next game and win that (The Colorado game)

I always thought Brannstrom was better than the fan base gave him credit for. Who would you guys prefer right now: Brannstrom or Trail Mix? It's close, but I I'd give the edge to Brannstrom.
I just find it funny that a fanbase is pining for a guy who was passed by a ton of teams in the NHL. Do Make me say is right, we are mentally fragile.

Who we would want doesn't matter. We're stuck with Trail Mix. But would we want Brannstrom on the roster for the amount we would have had to pay him to retain him? If he'd been worth that amount another NHL roster would have jumped on it. Instead he got the league minimum and demoted to the AHL for a stretch.

100% The Blues are a better team than the score last night would indicate. They were overwhelmed by Ottawa's ferocity in the first two periods but they came out mad in the 3rd and flexed their mettle. Kyrou showed some physicality that I didn't know he had. Texier also impressed me with his playmaking. They are not a bad team which makes the beat down even more impressive.
