Don't worry about Barrie OMG67 (Assuming they don't sell the assets which I suspect they don't for revenue reasons throughout the near future years). They've been hot lately, but aside from the last few games they've been outplayed by everyone. Look at their GF/GA. Yes, Clarke + Sale may put them above that average threshold but without atleast 2-3 impact adds, Ottawa will take the cake.

I too thought Brock's outlook on Harrison being worth an 06' first rounder seems a bit much. The value of the draft pick has decreased so much over the years, if I were a GM I would draft my team, not trade for players off other teams.

A 2nd + 3rd used to net you a solid 80-90 PT scorer in 2010. What happened?

Warren Rychel.

With the pick capital Barrie has, I can see them add 2-3 key impact pieces on top of Clarke and Sale. If Clarke doesn’t come back, I think they tinker a bit but that’s it.

The 67s played well today with a seriously depleted lineup. In particular, I thought Gerrior had a monster game for us. And Mews is already so steady on the back end.

I still think we’re in serious need of some physicality and experience at the deadline, as I didn’t like how we got pushed around (again) today and some of the Fronts taking liberties with our guys. The Tolnai cross check to the face was egregious and while the Gerrior hit seemed clean, it was certainly ugly. Similar to the last Peterborough game with them taking liberties with our players. Having Boucher back in the lineup will undoubtedly help, but he alone can’t act as the team’s policeman. There needs to be a few other guys in the lineup that can send a message that shit like the Tolnai hit won’t stand.

The trade I hear here is that

John Parsons Caton Ryan a 3rd in 2024, 4th in 2023 2nd in 2026 plus a BOP for Shane Wright
PTBNL and 2 draft picks for Morrison Hamilton wanted the BOP but will settle for a COC

OH YEAH and a

I agree with all

Gerrior looked great when he uses his speed he is a very helpful player to have. Also thought Barlas has looked really good the last month or so. Keeping it simple & doing a great job. Other noticeable players yesterday Mews obviously this kid is a very special player. I thought Dever looked great to I never did know he can skate the way he does he had several chances and fit in on that top line well & did a great job.

Un noticeable players I feel Foster & Gardiners game is going a little down hill the pair of them were not even noticed on the ice yesterday. Foster did take a monster of a hit early on so could of been a factor also Gardnier was shifted to the wing.

LOL If you were a fan of the 67's during the Killer Mav era, you now it was always the running joke.

I am hoping that someone that has been here other than OMG knows the answer
Bag of pucks
Cup of coffee

I’m pretty sure of the first one anyways. But, I’m not sure why a bag of pucks is limited to Killer as it is widely used…

Good points! Won't go on on Gerrior as this board knows he's my guy. If ever the hands catch up to the feet! Nice you pointed out Barlas as he's turning into a good player who you will be able to trust in a bottom 6 role for rest of the year. His puckhandling and skating are improving every game. To think I almost gave up on him early this year. Also agree on Dever, turning into a solid bottom 6 contributor this year and maybe more the next few years. Agree that Foster had an off game and Pinelli wasn't as good as usual. As for Gardiner I thought he was solid personally. Marelli had a few rookie moments...play the man not the puck young fella! Hope he's here long term after the trade deadline.

1- Foster isn’t as effective as a centre. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, he is a great complimentary player as a winger. Similar to Barlas in that manner.
2- Barlas brings a lot to the table in that complimentary role. He can play defensive and he can stir the shit a bit. Since his move from centre to the wing, he is close to a point per game.
3- Gardiner is better up the middle but he needs players to work with that compliment him. Why he was playing wing with Laforme at centre is beyond me. Almost like they want to give Laforme a bit of a showcase or something.
4- Gerrior is what he is. A solid up and down player that compliments a line and goes and gets picks. If he were 3 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier, he’d be a prospect.
5- Dever is sneaky. He’s a solid player that needs a role and time to grow into it.

I’m sort of shocked this team has managed 6 out of 8 points the last four games. Playing with 16 skaters and 9 of them 17 or younger has been crazy.

1 right 1 wrong
coc case of Canadian but in hindsight, it could be case of Molson
To me the best one was “Ball of Soap Chips.”

I was wondering that myself why Laforme down the middle & Gardiner on the wing. Although Gardiner did end up playing most of the game at Centre as Laforme was benched most the game & Quick jumped in. Quick is another guy that I have said since day one can not play at this level I will be shocked to see Laforme & Quick on the roster after the deadline.

Quick has an opportunity to play a heavy role as an 18-19 year old but he doesn’t skate well enough to be effective at it.

The problem with Ottawa right now in general is the sheer volume of players out of the lineup. Laforme and quick are #24 and 25 on the roster and shouldn’t be around once everyone is back let alone after players are added.

With a championship calibre roster foundation, it is hard enough to ensure players like Dever get the appropriate level of ice time let alone guys like Quick that aren’t at the same level of skating as others.

The best thing about the ‘67s right now and the reason they finish the season first imo, is they pretty much win every game they should; whether that is weaker competition, a reeling Petes team, or a home date against the Battalion for the 3rd game in 2 1/2 days.
The ‘67s are the most consistent in the league.

I like that combo a lot!

I like that combo a lot as well. I don’t think it fits the commentary though. No need to wait until the WJHC are over.

It feels like DelMaestro and Harrison. Maybe that is asking too much and there isn’t an OA in that mix but I’m greedy af.

Maybe you will have settle for Grushnikov, Morrison, and Harrison without having to part with an ‘06; as much as that would suck! :)

Listen! You know my #1 target is Morrison. I’m getting t-shirts made! I do like Grishkov as well. I think he’d be a good fit.

I also like Harrison as well.

I’d be happy as hell if we came out of all this with those three. No doubt. And the majority of the return is draft picks which is even better!

But if DelMaestro is available and it costs us Marrelli then so be it. Adding DelMaestro would be a game changer on the back end. One of Matier or DelMaesteo on the ice for 50 of 60 minutes per game would be an iron wall of effectiveness for goal prevention.

I’d slide off Morrison and go Harrison, Hayes, DelMaestro and be happy even not getting Morrison.

Well let’s see if this young short squad has another 2 points in them this afternoon. Not much longer until we have Boucher, Rohrer & Matier back & from what I heard Friday maybe Jack Beck Thursday in Barrie
