Didn't Clarke get something like 8 games for something that was arguably a legal hit? I know it's a different league and this is the playoffs, but come on.

Would love to see Chromiak join the Reign and have:
Chromiak - Byfield - Kupari - Vilardi destroy the Eagles!

With the LA Kings eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday night, four prospects are now eligible to return to the AHL — Quinton Byfield, Gabe Vilardi, Rasmus Kupari, and Jordan Spence. While all would be a welcome addition, especially given their offensive prowess, Mayor’s Manor sources say none of the four will be assigned to Ontario until Monday, pending the outcome of tonight’s game.

Additionally, should there be a Game 4, the Kings could also assign three other prospects to Ontario. OHL prospects Martin Chromiak and Francesco Pinelli were both eliminated from the playoffs this weekend. Again, Mayor’s Manor has been told decisions on those players will also come Monday. Chromiak would most likely receive heavy consideration; especially given his time with the Reign last season and the fact he’s expected to be in the AHL next season.

Could someone smarter than me explain why they are doing this instead of allowing them to play in an elimination game?

Imagine being Vilardi, Byfield or Spence right now. Watching both the NHL and AHL elimination games instead of playing.
reign getting their shit kicked in this series… cool cool cool

i like that both our ahl and nhl teams made the playoffs and our best prospects arent playing for either team

what the f*** are these dipshits doing
It's truly inexcusable.

Just checking in on this but those four should have had their ticket stamped back to Ontario the minute after game 7 ended.

They should have had their ticket stamped back BEFORE Game 7 when it became clear they were just bench fodder

Since the beginning of April Quinton Byfield has played 132 minutes of pro hockey, watching most of the NHL playoffs while the AHL team floundered.

That's f***ing unacceptable.

Like i said in other threads it's a self fulfilling prophecy that just self perpetuates for infinity until management or coaching breaks the chain

Can't play the kids all preseason, vets have to get ready too you know
Can't play the kids this early in the season, we're floundering and have to get back on track, they're not ready
Can't play the kids while we're on a winning streak, why shake up a great lineup?
Can't play the kids midseason, we're in the thick of the playoff chase and they're not ready
Can't play the kids down the stretch, every game is basically a playoff game
Can't play the kids in the playoffs, they're not ready

How does this change next year?

Edit: also Vilardi 124. Like what the f*** are we even doing here. Kupari 145.

Someone is going to bend Blake over a barrel in a trade for at least one of these kids.

TMac is a selfish p$%ck. Probably wanted to beat his old team and tried playing the vets into the ground thinking it was his best shot.

Sat the kids so that Brown gets his proper send off. I respect that in a way since Brownie will always be the C that brought us 2 cups and deserves our respect and farewells.

Keeping Iafallo and AA in the lineup after that abysmal display in game 6 in front of fans should of been TMacs moment that this team needs some accountability. Instead same old lame lineup and kids wasting their time watching on TV.

If that was the plan just send a few down before game 7. So sad that Lias Anderson and Bjornfot got no games in. Were they hurt??? There is 0 accountability in this organization right now from management.
