I feel slightly better after that presser.

Still have a lot of doubts. It’s interesting that they see this hire as being one that can help improve the culture on the team, using his past experiences to change things for the better.

f***ing stupid premise.

He's not working his way up, running a Junior A team, trying to do things the right way and improve. Learning and working his way back.

He's stepping in to the NHL, as a GM to a top contending team. He should EARN his second chance.

This is just handing him it because time passed.

And the evidence showing that he did do something doesn’t count because it must have been because he made a donation to Sheldon Kennedy.

I also heard that the President and Prime Minister are actually space aliens.

If I remember the story.
I think the team President McDonagh and Quennville were the ones who pushed to do nothing until after the playoffs because of the potential distraction right? Then John McDonough told them that he would deal with the situation.
So at the end of the day, Bowmans boss said he would deal with it and didn't. Bowman however SHOULD have done more. So from re-reading the story, Bowman failed Kyle Beach, but he wasn't the one making the decisions.
Rereading the story John McDonough and Quenneville should NEVER be part of another hockey org.

Conversations? Sounds like he was working with the organization almost every day. And he had multiple conversations with Kyle which is good to hear. If Kyle can be okay with him getting back into the NHL I don’t see why we can’t.

Thats not a punishment or a consequences. Working with an organization like that should be a f***ing privledge and absolutely table stakes after his actions during that era.

He got a slap on the wrist and was rewarded the best GM job in hockey. I am very happy that Kyle Beach has found his peace and has moved on, I still think its disgusting how much this man was protected.

If only Kyle Beach had this many people in his corner and was handled with as much respect, care and love that Bowman is being treated with,

Can we not with the Alpha language? My god.
Alpha comments are good for a laugh. I definitely thought “woah that man is my alpha dawg” listening to his natural sarcastic tone and watching him squirm in his seat.

I don’t know if bowman is displaying anything beyond a shamed GM trying to convince everyone he is a changed man

Yes because they don't KNOW WHO the other victim is. Nice that you only post what you want to hear, but leave the rest of the context out.
Bowman didn't say that. He got angry and said he doesn't want to discuss the past look to the future.

Of course Jackson doesn't know who it is. You expected him to find out this week?

Bowman clearly has made zero effort over two years. Something something I worked with Sheldon Kennedy

Exactly. Its not a punishment or a consequence.
Bowman, feeling and knowing he failed Beach, went to work with and learn from an organziation and sexual assault survivor to learn and grow.
No one forced him too, it wasn't court ordered. He didn't have to.
That tells me a lot about Bowman and how he actually RECOGNISES that he did something wrong and wanted to attone for it by helping it not happen to others.
