In fairness, Calgary looked really good last night. They took it to us and deserved that win easily. Felt like they went with the physical approach and we didn't have a very good answer.

We have some pricks but we don't have many legit scary guys that can play hockey. Kane can, Nurse can. That might be it tbh. Perry is an agitator but not a tough guy per se. Him and Kane make a hillarious combo. Drai is good at the sneaky shit but not a tough guy. And, ftr, I'm not a fan of coke machine type players but we really are not that physical.

If Smith was still our goalie, he'd be our third toughest player.lol

My vote is still Tanev.
Yeah. And I’d love to see a good battle of Alberta rivalry.

McDavid during 16 game winning streak - 1.63 PPG, 18 ESP, plus 16

Last ten games (Oilers 24th in P%) - 2.20 PPG, 15 ESP, plus 2

I don't mind the losing, I actually think it may help us in the long run as it exposes some weaknesses that need to be addressed. However, am I the only one getting pissy with McDrai being on the same line?

At this point I'm just hoping we get hot at the right time. Jekyll and Hyde ass team. Look like they could sweep anyone some nights, look like they'd get swept by the Sharks other nights. I don't get it.

What's their record since breaking the 16 game win streak?
Pretty sure 4-5-1 ... .450 and good enough for 20th in the leauge.

I'd also say that is fair as we've played like absolute shit for stretches of every game. Specfically first periods. Not like we are getting goalied here... we just kind of suck right now.lol

Except the Oilers aren't a top team.

They're at risk of falling into a wild card spot and out of the top 15 within one game.

They're 10th in P% right now. I wouldn't consider that a top team myself either, but they're not in any real threat of dropping. They've played the least amount of games in the league thanks to a weird schedule.

What about over the last 55?

Regardless of how you try to loop in another team their was an assumption that the Oilers were racking up points against teams in the bottom 10 and would hit a wall playing better teams.

It seems like that is correct.
Every team goes through ups and downs. Vancouver's downward trend seems to have started when they got spanked by the Wild.

you came in here thinking you could punch down, and it blew up in your face. Deserved.
