For whatever reason, the teams that are assumed to be adding at the deadline aren't doing great, except foe Florida and the Rangers. That even applies to the Leafs because before this hot streak it was assumed at all that they were going to be aggressive buyers.

And I started with I don't think it's illegal and applaud the teams that take advantage of it.

However.. it was made clear... Losing Eichel and stone will cost LV the playoffs and there is nothing they could do with that LTIR space between now and TDL.

Oh.....so they are a two player team?

Where have I heard that before? LOL

At some point, Knoblauch has to put the foot down and put McDavid in the press box if he doesn't start putting in an acceptable effort in his own zone. He needs to cut out the floating and prove that he actually cares about winning.
Good joke

Really strange, was reading how we are almost in a wildcard spot.. here is the division by points percentage. Appears we are 2nd in wins and 2nd in win percentage. We also have games in hand. I would call this a good position to be in but your mileage may vary.

I think the current playoff spots are locked in, even though I don't see Nashville as a particularly strong team this year, nobody below them is good enough to push them for that spot. LA is kind of the wild card (pun intended) because talent wise they should be in the mix with Vancouver, Edmonton and Vegas but something is deeply wrong with that team.

Also I don't think anyone catches Vancouver. Even if they continue to play similar to how they have over their last 10, that lead is probably big enough they'll hang onto to the division title.

I tend to agree... I see it is 7 monters and 1 team that may get beat quick in Round 1.

I can't see Vancouver being caught.. I also can't see their 'mini slump' continuing. They are a juggernaut.

Plus, some of the West teams will be adding soon at the TDL.

3 x 7 game series incoming in Round 1 IMO.

So watch the 8th seed win the Cup.lol

I didn't realize Nashville won 8 in a row... wow! LA has righted the ship too. Flames with 5 in a row as well.

Crazy one for me is that we are 9 points behind the Nucks and have 4 games in hand.... dare to dream?

As of last night were 4-0 so far this season on the second of back to backs.

We also generally have a better record on back to backs for the entirety of the McDrai era.
High concentration of games can tire out a team, definitely not great to have towards the end of the season.
