I'd give the Rangers a B for the TDL.

I'd give the Hayes deal a B+

I'd give the Zucc deal a B-

I consider the McQ trade a wash. (And no, I'm not going to debate the insurance policy of McQ compared to a 12 slot difference in the 4th round of the draft).
Bergman > Kampfer

Hartman is the type of guy, like Namestnikov, who can fill a role on a rebuilding team in a secondary scoring role. He plays with some grit and sandpaper as well.

Am I nuts to think Stone is being overhyped due to being the best UFA on the market? Best wingers in the game and all that talk? He hasn't scored 30 goals or 70 points. He's above PPG this year, but a lot of people are at or able PPG, Kucherov already has 100 points at the deadline. Scoring is obviously up all around. I know he's great defensively.

I don't know, I think he's a great winger and obviously a big add for Vegas but I think the hype is beyond reasonable.

I don't care if Branstrom is that good.

Stone is 26 years old, elite, and had a very fair contract in place with the new team.

If Branstrom is that good, it's a lateral move. A lateral move for the best piece on the trade market.

I don't even like Ottawa and I'm angry.
Knowing he had an extension incoming definitely makes it worse.

Stone really is that good he easily should've warranted Brannstrom and a 1st round pick probably plus another serious asset and not just a warm body like Oscar.

Yeah I feel about the same. Maybe an A- for the Hayes deal, pretty excited about Lemieux. Not to mention Gorton got only one of two guaranteed firsts to be traded. That adds perspective.

Hartman is also a guy that the HF Boards loves based on concept more than actual track record to this point.

He's a North American kid who is just gritty enough, has the potential to just score enough, and has just enough of the right look on the ice to show up on more wish lists than one would think.

I'd rather have Lemieux...

Would have liked to see the Rangers take advantage of their cap space today

If Stone got that contract, what is Kreider worth when his deal is up after next season?
