Well, we know Panarin will want $10-11M.. For FLA, LAK, NYI and the NYR. Only NYI are competitive.

I can see Lou giving big money, even after getting burnt last time he did that

Hes going to end up a Panther.

They have the $ to sign both him and bob and they have enough down there to sell him on.

We got a 3rd instead of second and both of those picks could become firsts. Zuc got the most value from a rental winer besides stone get over it

Also, Johansson and Zuccarello are a lot closer in production than I think people realize. 10 points difference for a rental winger is about a round in the draft.

A 3rd / 4th isnt much of a difference. And the 1st are complete long shots. So yea, Johansson basically went for the same and he's a 3rd line plug at this point.

Yikes. We never learn.
Never learn what? What's the precedent for this?

The problem in the past has been signing over the hill stars who are well past their primes OR guys who were mid level guys and paying them like stars and expecting them to be that.

This is a superstar in his prime and will be in his prime for almost duration of the deal. Completely different animal.

Their production is similar and we got more unlike the devils we might get a first out of the deal. And again Zuc got the most for a rental winger not named Stone thats what the market was
