They can’t afford to lose Rich. They have to give him creative control and that will start with re-hiring Lockhart like you said as well as a pay bump for Nick. I’d still really like a Rich/Hardy morning show. Dump Fred and that weasel Wallach who I also thought came off really bad today even tho Fred threw him under the bus.

So ya have Rich/Hardy and give an up and comer like McBone or McCarthy the full time afternoon headline gig. Rich/Hardy with their combined creativity could be a great show.

Rich, Hardy, along with Jim Murray would work as a morning show I think. Give McBone to mid mornings and McCarthy to afternoons. For nights, plug in Joe Murray with a couple of others.

Jim Murray makes me puke, he is so full of Sh#t

I am glad he seems to finally have answers and is on the road to getting better. Will be interesting to see how they re-jig the morning show while Fred is out. IMO, it is a great time to evaluate the future of the show and see how other hosts do with the audience. Having Johnston in with the playoffs would be a no brainer.
Hope the guy gets better. Glad he finally listened to the right people to get better.

How the hell did it take this long to find something wrong? Makes no sense to me.
My guess is that his situation presented itself as an infection plus vocal strain at first so that is what they treated. ENT's won't go on a fishing expedition unless conservative treatment fails because of how risky surgery can be. I've had 2 sinus surgeries and the second one involved the tiny sinus pockets near my eyes. I had vision issues for 3 weeks before they resolved. First one was a routine clean out and them fixing a deviated septum I never knew I had.

The doc Fred finally saw is a specialist and treats singers like Adele and I'm pretty sure he also treated Julie Andrews.

Fred also not following orders probably didn't help things either.

I’m sure one of the first thing the doctors told him was to rest his voice. I’m not sure 4 hours of talk radio a day is what they would have wanted him to be doing lol.

That whole area is crazy sensitive. In today's medical world where they can put a stint in with a same day surgery through your leg, they are still hesitant to open up the nasal cavity. That says a lot.
