forbert just signed a 3 year contract, but doesn't it kick in after this season? i.e. your chart shows this season as being year 1 of his contract, i'm hoping year 1 will be next year (2013/2014)?

thanks, out,

I had a gap there originally, but it looked weird, when next season starts it will remain at three years just like other ELC's that haven't burned a year yet.

A bit OT, but I'm trying to get an idea of who the best defensive forward role players are on each team. I tried to set up some criteria to eliminate the more offensive two way guys in the league, and the young up and coming offensive guys.

Basically hoping to get mostly bottom six guys who's main role is strong defensive play, though it's ok if someone is a bit of a tweener on a 2nd line or something. Even if you don't think your team has any strong defensive forwards on the bottom lines, please mention who you think are the best of the group.

  • Player can be a pending UFA - As long as they are currently with your team
  • Player must be 23 years old (as of now) or older - To eliminate young offensive two way players like O'Reilly or Landeskog
  • Player can not have more than two 40 point seasons in the last 7 NHL seasons - To eliminate the Bergeron's and Staal's

If a few of you have time to stop by this thread and add a couple names, that'd be awesome. Try to limit it to the two best guys, but if you feel the need to add more that's fine. Thanks for any info you feel like sharing.

Might've been asked already, but where the picks are listed, are the team-designated picks (such as "Montreal's pick," etc.) included in the number of picks listed beforehand?

Yeah, they're included. If it says two picks and then Montreal's pick, that means that we have two total picks for that round and one is Montreal's and the other is our own. I only list the picks that are not our own to clarify which ones we have exactly. I am too lazy to do it tonight, but since the playoffs are just about done, I can start adding the numbers as well, I will add those tomorrow.

The numbers are all updated with Voynov's deal, will update the year by year breakdown when it is revealed.

Everything is updated, let me know if you see something wrong. Brown has placeholder numbers until official numbers are released.

Updated everything for the start of the season. Money, Ages, UFA/RFA's, and everything else should be dead on.

GO KINGS GO!

Maybe I missed it but did you add Jonathan Parker whom was acquired from the Sabres? He is currently in the ECHL but did spend some time in the AHL with Rochester. I think he is in the last year of his entry level deal.

It's minor but I thought I would just let you know.

I added him mere seconds before you posted.

Couple observations.

Czarnik was traded.

Igor Melyakov has not played since 2007.

Mikhail Lyubushin has not played since 2011.

I didn't think Josh "Podge" Turnbull was signed after college. Though he's having a decent year for Pensacola Ice Flyers of the SPHL. 17g 28a in 46 games.

I blame the Kings as they still have him on their official prospects list :P

I had them on there because LA had them on their official lists due to the last CBA which gave the Kings their rights indefinitely and as long as the Kings had them on their official lists, I would too. Though it looks like they finally removed them this season, so I will take them down.

You're right, it looks like his rights expired.

I updated the money portion to be less confusing. It shows the combined caps of each of our player groups, the combined actual monies being spent by AEG/insurance this year, and our bonuses, buyouts, and cap information.
