Meh, we still have 6 picks if we make the playoffs and lose our first, and if we miss them, then we obviously have 7 with a first. Over the years, Dean has always made sure we were flooded with draft selections, more so than the usual 7 per year. Trading them away is part of the process. The players on the ice need to step up and take over though, and the coaching staff needs to get out of their way and allow them to do it.

forbert just signed a 3 year contract, but doesn't it kick in after this season? i.e. your chart shows this season as being year 1 of his contract, i'm hoping year 1 will be next year (2013/2014)?
