This toxic favourite playing culture broke the locker room with the Sedins very very clearly disapproving of their work ethic.

Completely unprofessional in my view.....but then this is just the way the Canucks are being run by these owners. We saw enough evidence of it last year during the COVID fiasco. Meddling owners leads to paralysis in the executive booth and eventually impacts the on-ice product.

In a functional organization it might not be a big deal. But the Canucks clearly aren't one at the moment, and just had perhaps their worst week of Benning's 8 year tenure, with players, coach, and GM all on the hotseat. Do you really think Aquilini is "just having dinner" here and not trying to meddle in some area that should be the space of the players, coach, or GM?

My guess is he's trying to find out from Petey which player is the "cancer" in the room, because the existence of one is the only way he can fathom that the amazing team he built is in the basement of the league.
