FIRE DON SWEENEY INTO THE SUN
Swayman's stunt this past summer/fall has had an impact on this team and his game.
That is all.
What exactly was the "stunt?" Trying to get the most money he could?

Is it just me or did his negotiations not leave you with a very sour taste that you can't get rid of? I'm still pissed.
Swayman good to see you chime in. I agree Neely needs to go! But don't deny you were not a sniveling little pain in the arse asking for more than you deserved.Nope, not at all. I didn't care for Neely's approach to negotiate through the media and I don't think he helped the sitatuion at all.

I can understand your point that with whoever was in net, the Bruins probably would have similar results.... but are you suggesting Swayman is having a very good season and responding to expectations?Based on who's assessment? Your's?
Were you a Bruins fan back in the late 1990s/early 2000s when every notable RFA they had ended up in a contract holdout situation and eventual trade out of town? Were they all asking for more than they deserved too?
This notion that his holdout upset the dressing room or that him missing camp has played a factor here in this season's disaster is total bull-shit. He did what any NHL player does, try to get the best deal he can. They all understand it's a business.
Missing camp? What, was he at home sitting on the couch playing video games? He was working just not at the Bruins camp with Essensa. Missed a couple exhibition starts which is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. I'm a bit amazed his numbers are as good as they are playing behind this motley crew of forwards and D-men.
The experts and mine and the evidence is clear ...Based on who's assessment? Your's?

I’d never blame a player for trying to get as much as he can. I will blame a player when he gets as much as he can and his play doesn’t warrant his payday. Is it just me or did his negotiations not leave you with a very sour taste that you can't get rid of? I'm still pissed.
We disagree...I will move on but would love to see a poll on this question.I don't get it.
Isn't the whole idea of a contract negotiation to get as much as you can?

If your answer is yes to the bold part.... then I disagree. Swayman is not the only Bruins problem, but is part of the problem.
Agreed but wish this happened the moment after Ullmark won the vezina. We should have stuck with the tandem and let Swayman sit out. Ullmark could have been moved at the deadline. Or even extended below market value if he loved Boston so much.
