A little reminder that there is absolutely nothing out there to suggest that Sven has asked for any dollar amount on his contract. This is purely fan speculation. Getting a little out of hand. Based on those tweets, I don't think it's as simple as him wanting a dollar amount that would make them exceed the cap. That wouldn't make sense in terms of him expecting to sign in a few weeks.

Colorado signed Grigorenko to a 1-year, 625k deal today. I will be shocked if Vancouver signs Sven for more than 1.25, and I think even that might be high. Either way I'll be curiously watching.

In theory the Flames could offer sheet Sven, but the Canucks would just match because the amount would probably not equal any compensation. Also I highly doubt Sven signs here unless the Flames offer him north of 2.5mil, which they wont.
