I finished the USA game a bit ago, and my main Gauthier impression was he was a lot better, after about the first 10 minutes. I don't know if he actually scored his 2nd goal, but he was a lot calmer with his decisions and passing. He was actually going for entries and dangles. Not as many Neptune shots. If you watched that over the Canada game, you'd have a more positive impression.
Now, my other side takeaway is it was a gong show defensive game with open ice galore. At least 4 HockeyGuys™ had heart attacks watching. Being good with lots of time and space is fine, but being overwhelmed by pace and tight checking is not ideal. An NHL game will resemble the Team Canada game.
