He had quite a few good scoring chances last night. He didn’t look bad or overmatched, Milic had the game of his life.
I wish we had Juraj SlafkovskýAlright - here's my review on Cutter. Long story short - I think he's got 30/30 written all over him.
I see some Farabee in him.
This is not meant to be positive. I wish we had Cooley.
One thing is for sure after watching him closely at this level, trying to move cutter to center is square peg round hole territory
I wish we had Juraj Slafkovský
padded pp assist. Why is it padded? Is that contributing to a team? Dont understand that padded argument in this case.Who was a better choice? The only player who seems to have been worth the pick is Jiricek, who just got promoted to CBJ, though his AHL numbers were padded by big PP assist totals.
To me, the key for Gauthier staying at center will be his defense, he's not a playmaker type, his value as a center will be goal scoring and using his size and speed to get back on defense - if he's not a plus defender then he'll have to move to wing. And it'll take some time to know if he can adjust to center defensive responsibilities. If he can CYA for his forwards, you can put offense first wings with him. Pair him with someone like Brink (similar to Couts and G).
As I've shown, AHL PP scoring is often dominated by veterans who are below par at 5x5, AHL PK guys are well below NHL quality, so it's easier to score. Which is why it's not a good predictor of NHL success.padded pp assist. Why is it padded? Is that contributing to a team? Dont understand that padded argument in this case.
Cooley who they should have targeted. Did Chuck the f*** even try to move up I wonder? doubtful.
flyers prospects must really suck then !!!!As I've shown, AHL PP scoring is often dominated by veterans who are below par at 5x5, AHL PK guys are well below NHL quality, so it's easier to score. Which is why it's not a good predictor of NHL success.
One thing that's always amused me at the NHL, people tout PP scoring, but dismiss PK play, but it stands to reason that an above average PK guy is as valuable as an above average PP scorer - because they're mirror images.
Very low elite, but likely top 6 lw, certainly not a center, that will be a failed experiment, he's just abysmal when it comes to the defensive side of things, and he's horrible at taking draws, I wrote a big write up on him a few pages backWhat do you think Guathier's floor/ceiling/and actual projection is?
You prob watched way more than me

A PP goal scored is mirrored by PK goal prevented relative to the average PP/PK.PP scoring is a measure of what happens when the puck goes in the net. PK defense is a measure of how this Goal or Shot was prevented. At various points in the same play, someone else could have prevented that Goal/Shot.
How big the difference is will always be up for interpretation. But by definition, they’re not mirrored.
Nah he’s looked pretty good. Especially when he was on the second line with Ohgren and Ostlund. He still needs to learn to be patient at times though. Trying to make moves when he doesn’t need to leads to turnovers. After the game where he and Carlsson were injured the coach started throwing the lines in a blender (PP lines too) and they’ve all been struggling since. What happened with Fabian Lysell?
Just read that he has gone pointless in the WJC through Sweden's semifinal loss to Czechia (6 total games).
And he didn't receive a shift in OT of the semifinal.
Seems unexpected and bizarre for a 19-year-old who has 19 points in 20 AHL games.
Am I to assume he wasn't playing within the team structure and wasn't using his teammates, which was a problem in his draft year?
I just read he’ll be Sweden’s 13th forward for the bronze game against US.Nah he’s looked pretty good. Especially when he was on the second line with Ohgren and Ostlund. Wouldn’t worry too much about the geniuses making decisions behind that bench.I just read he’ll be Sweden’s 13th forward for the bronze game against US.
So Sweden certainly isn’t happy with him.
