Wow I get Bellinger had a massive down year but having him bat 8th in the line-up is insane. The Dodgers are a good example of why a salary cap and/or a more harsh luxury tax wouldn't be a bad thing.

Nah. The cool thing about the Dodgers is that they're so good because of their player development and drafting. Basically everyone in their lineup was either pulled off the scrap heap, traded for, or developed within besides Freeman. Their salary is just so bloated because they have the resources to actually keep their guys, and when they don't (Seager) it doesn't affect them at all. Like they have Lux on the bench

It's like someone said yesterday. It's like giving the Ray's a scrooge mcduckian vault lol.

If they don't end up acquiring an LHH, be interesting to keep tabs on Nathan Lukes. Jays signed him to a minor league deal before the lockout, played with the Rays AAA team last year and absolutely demolished righties. (.919 OPS in 208 PAs against RHPs). He's split time between all 3 OF positions, would be a very interesting candidate to replace Grichuk on the 40 man roster if they find a trade partner for him.

From the minimal amount of info out there, he sounds a bit like a lefty Joey Murray.

The last I see of him playing anywhere was from 2019 for Oregon State.

The last I see of him playing anywhere was from 2019 for Oregon State.

He pitched in the minors for us last year after we drafted him recently. IIRC Vancouver for sure. Maybe Dunedin and New Hampshire as well. I don't expect him to turn into much of anything but you never know. Random college guy drafted fairly late turning into decent pen arm isn't the most unheard of story ever

I haven't heard anything but with spring being so short I wouldn't be surprised if they've got the rotation already lined up. Berrios today so Gausman tomorrow. Then Ryu or Manoah and then the other, then Kikuchi. 21 days until our 1st game so it seems reasonable.
