It's tough to say without seeing what kind of D-man McNabb becomes. He seems more two-way like Martinez (obviously slower) than a straight offensive d-man or a total defensive plodder.

I hope the play of Zuccarello has opened Lombardi's eyes about giving Weal a serious look. I thought Zuc, hands down, was the most effective forward for the rags.

Seriously. And it's not like Weal doesn't like to get into the dirty areas -- he doesn't shy away from contact at all!

It boggles my mind how Shore, due to his intangibles and supposed good defensive play, is guaranteed a spot on our future roster while Weal is destined to go somewhere else.

He deserves his shot, and he deserves it here!

Absolutely! Weal's one prospect that I'm most eager to see in a kings uni. I know Shore will be a king shortly, but I truly, truly hope that DL can find room for both Shore and Weal. I just think Weal's going to be an amazing hockey player.

Weal bounces off players like they are wearing sumo suits. Physical play is meaningless if you can't do it effectively.

I agree Zuc was their best forward, hands down. If Weal can play that type of game for us, allowing time to develop in the role, then I'd be OK with him replacing Lewis, Clifford or King this year.

According to Eklund the Kings have serious interest in Peter Mueller. Could he be a better fit on our 3rd line over King? He's only 26 and still has potential if he can stay healthy.

Unless it's involving the Flyers, don't believe Eklund

Watching the tough guys like Nolan, Clifford and Andreoff over the past few years in both the pre-season, rookie games and regular season, I think Andreoff has more potential than all.

Clifford sadly, has peaked. He also isn't the fighter he once was because of 2 concussions. Nolan has emerged as good fighter but his play has slipped and he went from an everyday player during the first cup run to a healthy scratch.

Well, I don't know about TOR, but I'm almost certain that one of Clifford, King or Nolan will get moved to make room for Andreoff.

I'm honestly a bit perplexed by these types of pro-Andreoff posts. Guys a decent 3rd liner in the AHL but at the beginning of the year he was arguably 4-5 players down on the call-up list (after Pearson, Toffali, Vey, and even maybe Shore or Deslauriers). Clifford/Nolan/King are are noticeably better players by any real classification of hockey be it scoring, physicality, or defense. I suppose if 3+ players get injured be may get a shot on the 4th line. But as far as I'm concerned Shore is the next likely call-up.

Scott Sabourin might turns some heads at traiming camp.
