Penner
Clifford with Penner as the 4th liner.
Clifford-Richards-Williams
Penner-Stoll-Lewis
That depth though.
Are we seriously still talking about Penner?
Comparing Fraser to Penner is insulting to Fraser. One had a compete level and the other didn't.
Penner scored 11 regular season goals over three seasons while in LA. Let that sink in. ****ing pathetic.
For league min, I would bite
More importantly any word on Gravel?
Nope... still no word on Gravel.....
Well thought I'd dig up the roster thread for Conspiracy Tuesday...
So that Schultz guy got a 2 year contract... making in the 800's.... I believe most of us were like a 2 year deal to play in the AHL? Ok...
Then I was thinking about the Duck series... when RR got injured and Schultz played more min's then Martinez when he was called up...
The Kings are ridiculously close to the cap. They are going to need to get 500k-1,500k in cap space to leave options open at the trade deadline.
Sutter will bench Martinez any chance he gets.
So will Martinez be moved because there are cheaper options at D that Sutter probably likes more? Bottom pairing of Schultz/Greene?
The fear is setting in...
**** no.
The only way we see a Schultz/Greene pairing is a Regehr injury and the lines get jumbled, or if another team drops a tactical nuke on our training facility while those two are out at lunch.
Schultz is cheap and underrated, but he's no replacement for Martinez's puck-moving skills and this year at least not much cheaper. Not enough to justify the 'savings,' anyway.

If DL has to make a move at the deadline, he has options (Nolan, cracknel, Clifford even) that could be moved. I don't think RR will be resigned and DL didn't make it a secret that at the past deadline he was shopping for a veteran D, esp since Green's health has become an issue.
I love AMart but he might not want to stay here as a 3D pairing. His play from Feb (and esp march and those 7 goals) and in the playoffs showed that he's far better that that and should be getting top 4 D minutes, as part of a 2nd pairing. But with Doughty and Slava ahead of him on the left side, and the kings having their cap set on Slava, it doesn't look good for AMart.
And it wouldn't' be fair to him not to give him that chance and I'm sure that will be on his mind. And prior to spring, he wasn't a Sutter favorite and benched far to often. If DL feels that he won't be able to sign AMart for any reason, then his trade value would be high enough by Feb that it would merit a good return.
