I put Pospy on the top line because he’s capable of top-10 speed in the NHL, in addition to the space he creates with his physicality. This can allow for chances off the rush with Huby, as well as give Naz and Huby room to operate. He may have hands of solid stone, but Pospy is still our best option for 1RW. One of the few things I agree with Huska on.
Backlund, on the other hand, skates like he’s stuck in second gear, isn’t particularly physical, or creative, the play dies on his stick more often than not, plays with zero passion, and really not a whole lot better defensively than Zary, who is faster and can produce more, hence why I put him where I did. Backs is decent down low and along the half wall, and he’s just an ok penalty killer, but he is mid as mid can be. He has never been “elite”, and he is on his last legs, but I think playing with Lombo and Klapka would force a side out of his game that we’ve yet to see, and allow them to line up Naz-Frosty-Zary (none of whom deserve to be on the fourth line either) down the middle.
