Shango's not bad in his own end down the middle.
Honestly, when he plays centre he's just not effective as a scorer.

It's one of those "Needs to figure out the balance between when to play defensive, and when to go for offense". It's like on the wing, he cheats for offense heavily, and as a C, he focuses so much on playing the role he forgets that he can score too.

4. I was talking with another executive who said the Oilers and their opponents will be on high alert for how games are called in the aftermath. Do the Oilers get more power plays? Is there any bias against them? Teams worry about overcompensation. The situations are not comparable, but Calgary’s penalty count went from 30th to fourth after Dennis Wideman high-sticked a linesman in 2016. So the paranoia exists.

Yup, for the last few years, after a call against us, or non call on our opponents, I've been saying Thanks Wideman quite a bit. Dude never saw another NHL game after that with us or any other organization. Team shouldn't have been messed over by the refs for so long for one buffoon's behavior.
