If the Twins didn't want much more than Lind in return and ate most of the salary difference I would be all for it. I think Morneau is pretty much shot at this point but if they minimized the risk like that it would be worth it. The only way that would happen is if the Twins were looking to move Mauer to 1B full time.

I'd like to see AA trade Rasmus for an equivalent 1B/DH. Someone still relatively young with potential and years of team control. Someone like Ike Davis.

When the rumours surfaced I had almost convinced myself that they had expanded the trade the include Davis. I'm not sure what 1B would fit the bill. There are some good 1B prospects close in the minors for other teams that could be a different route for AA
 
You've got to wonder if Listch doesn't get an offer from anyone else for a minor league deal with an invite to ST, that he'd come back here to pitch in AAA.

I don't think he can pitch right now.

I thought I read something about him waiting for a bone donor or something.

i've always liked jessie, he has always had good command of the strike zone. to bad he has been injured so much in his career, he would be a good 4/5 in any rotation if he could stay healthy not to mention we could of used him in the BP last season.
 
Can't wait for this season to begin. It's going to be a lot of fun watching this team and I really hope they don't disappoint. What's the lineup looking like going into next season?

:laugh: Back when they were knocking around severed heads with wooden branches, they predicted the dynasty that would be the Toronto BlueJays. Love it. Stranger things have happened.

The hate was always there. I don't really care about the Farrel thing to be honest. It will be crazy loud that 1st boston series though. Can't wait. :yo:

If I had to compare the two. The Yankees are like an older brother. Always getting 1st dibs on players, media attention, money, etc. Boston is like a little brother. The little pissant that just annoys the heck out of you.

And the Rays are your cousin that does so well for himself but you always seem to forget about him until you seem him, and then mad jealousy ensues

And the Orioles? Well ... They're like that red-headed stepchild that everybody dislikes, treats like crap, and just can never have anything go their way because the world is against them

The Orioles sound alot like me. Minus the dislike, treating like crap and having the world go against them stuff. So pretty much just the red-head part. Gingers unite!
