I just think that it looks like teams are not capitulating to these agents demands. I would think he was asking for more money than that and for a bigger term at the start. I bet Bellinger now also gets much less than he thought he would.
Soler was projected to get 3 yrs $45M by MLB trade rumours. Not far off what he got.

Still hoping we can get Bellinger on something similar to the Springer deal.

The first game is less than two weeks away. Has Sportsnet released a TV schedule yet? Can't find it.
It was just released today. all the home games and most of the road games. The road games are all likely the opponent's broadcast.

The six games not broadcast:

Feb. 27 @ Det
Mar. 5 @ Pit
Mar. 10 @ Bal (split squad, we get Bal @ Tor)
Mar. 14 @ Min
Mar. 17 @ Phi (split squad, we get Min @ Tor)
Mar. 23 @ Bal (split squad, we get Det @ Tor)

I like what I'm seeing here:

Also looks like we sold Lopez to the Giants for cash, so those cup holders are paid for!

I’m not a fan of Ben Shulman doing radio but Chris Leroux I think will be a good fit.

Thanks for posting.

Always irritated me when the home games weren't on TV.

Spring training starts in 10 days or so? You'd think the moving of Lopez opens up a 40 man spot for someone to sign, would be nice for it to happen so they can all get to work together from day 1. Plus 1 good size splash suddenly makes the off season a little more of a confident venture if it was a Bellinger, Martinez or who else knows may be available via trade.

Unfortunately I think the Lopez spot was for Rodriguez. There are still some easy drops if they add another bat though.

the shine came off him rather quickly. I remember the hype when the team managed to get both him and Kloffenstein as a seeming package deal and now Groshans is a waiver claim and Kloffenstein was shipped out in the Hicks deal after being mostly pretty disappointing as a pro.
Yea it was hyped as a sort of coup that we squeezed out both of them.

Ben, left, and Dan Shulman.

Another baseball off-season means another roster shuffle for the folks who bring Canadians the broadcasts of Blue Jays baseball.

After unceremoniously bouncing Ben Wagner from the radio booth following the 2023 season, Sportsnet has announced that the veteran will be replaced by a name familiar to fans of the team.

Ben Shulman, son of the terrific long-time TV voice of the Jays, Dan Shulman, will take over the radio duties beginning with spring training action this month. And unlike his predecessor, the younger Shulman will have a regular partner in the booth. Former pro player Chris Leroux will handle the analyst duties.

As has been the case in recent seasons, it is expected that the radio crew will call road games remotely.

Dan Shulman will return as the lead play-by-play voice for Rogers exhaustive TV coverage, joined in the booth by Buck Martinez and Joe Siddall, who will split the analyst assignments.

Expect an increased role for former catcher Caleb Joseph, who continued to evolve as an insightful studio analyst last season.

I'm cool with more Caleb Joseph, I thought he and Siddall were definitely the best analysts the team has.

and nothing against Ben Shulman who might be a great guy like his dad and grow into the role, but f*** do the optics on this look horrible with the Jays canning Ben Wagner who clawed his way up from the minors as one of the best radio guys out there only to get unceremoniously booted and replaced by a cheaper nepo baby hire.
