We had the assets for a good 2LW but didnt make a move for some reason

Cant mortgage the whole world and we’d have to trade domi or kampf I can see the logic

I can't believe pro scouting, management and coaching all looked at the possibility of Domi and Laughton together and said "we gotta have that."

A lazy, low IQ playmaking winger who can't play defense paired with a center-wing energy guy who can give you a little bit of defense and zero offense, side by side vigorously neutralizing each other's modest strengths. Third guy on that line doesn't even matter.

What puzzling lines by Berube. If you must keep Matthews/Marner together I'd run the following:

Knies - Matthews - Marner
Jarnkrok - Tavares - Nylander
McMann - Laughton - Robertson
Lorentz - Kampf - Holmberg

Let Domi sit. He's a tire fire defensively and isn't contributing enough offence to be worth it. At least Robertson works his ass off

How is Holmberg in the NHL? This guy is devoid of any skills. You watch him out there and it looks like he is handling the puck like a grenade. I don't get it.

I've been saying this all year. He's basically a younger European version of Kerfoot.

He's not talented enough to be in the top 6 and doesn't have enough jam to be in the bottom 6.

I'd keep McMann on L3 just to spread the scoring around - Tavares/Nylander should be able to score regardless of who is on the left side so I'll give them a defensively conscious winger in Jarnkrok

McMann - Laughton - Robertson should be an aggressive third line that has lots of speed with 2 players that have a scoring touch

L4 can be the line you bury in heavy d-zone starts
