Why are the Rangers above tanking? Because they play in "The Worlds Most Famous Arena"? This franchise is way too arrogant for its own good.
The Pens and Hawks say otherwise. That is the way the system is set up. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Not giving up on this team until at least Thanksgiving. If they still look like trash then, take your medicine, sell off expendable pieces, and work on developing what young talent is there.
If the Yankees can do it. Anyone can. It’s a poor excuse. Why are the Rangers above tanking? Because they play in "The Worlds Most Famous Arena"? This franchise is way too arrogant for its own good.

It's not about the Rangers specifically. I would imagine that any professional athlete would be really upset if management told them to throw games.
Lol, this is the mentality that perpetuates the losing culture in this organization. They don't deserve to win anything. ..No but tanking is?
That's a real chicken **** way out..

With the severe lack of talent, regardless of what management says, we are on the fast track to an extended stay in the East cellar.

That arrogant franchise is a business first.

Time to sick it up and build a real team on talent. ... not lighting in a bottle signings and retreads...
The lundqvist Era is over
Who’s saying anything about this year? This year is the first step toward development. The rebuild was last year. They are just 2Y ahead of pace.Making it to game 7 of the the ALCS isn't exactly tanking..
The Yankees didn't tear it down. They traded a few replaceable veterans and finished above .500.
They brought in veterans like Matt Holliday and Chris Carter at the start of the year.
Yeah, I don't get the tanking talk. It's happening organically. This tanking talk is already tired. They're actively trying to win right now and are in 28th place. They don't have to "tank" to get a high pick at this rate, because they're already playing themselves into a lottery pick.
They traded their most tradable parts at the deadline for core pieces to add to what they have been developing. Holliday and Carter are veterans to help guide the young core. In a well run organization anyone is replaceable.
You're talking a few years of tanking. Not just one.
You think this team is an 18 year old Dahlin away from competing?
That team had a different feeling to it. This team just looks checked out. That starts at the coach.Well this may give some people here a semblance of hope
In AV's first season with us in 2013/14 we went 3-7-0 in our first 10 games collecting 6 pts and we ended the season 45-31-6 with 96 pts. Good enough for 2nd in the metro right behind Pittsburgh , who we overcame a 3-1 deficit in the playoffs while also beating them for the first time in the playoffs.
In our first 10 games this season we are 2-6-2 with 10 pts......but as someone else pointed out earlier we would have to play the rest of the season at a 102 point pace from here on out like we did in 2013/14
Something. Needs. To . Be . Done . Soon......Otherwise this is just pure hoping

Trying to stay in that same boat. Though it's hard to see any silver linings with the way this team is playing.
Something tells me that if they lose to the Yotes later this week, that will spell the end of AV's tenure here. Then it'll be time to see how the team does under a new regime, and with our luck it'll be just good enough to be a bubble team.
