He was an absolute bust in the playoffs for the longest time.
The first 4 years, he had 5 points over the course of 3 series.

Last year, on a team that absolutely dominated the regular season and he put up 100 points, he got all of 10 points and was a -6.
In fact, after winning the first series in a miraculous fashion in game 7, Calgary demolished Edmonton in Game 1.

And then lost 4 in a row with Tkachuck being completely invisible.


I swear Leafs fans have the memory of a golf ball.

They were focused on him, He should have been moved to Matthews line to double the threat (maybe if Matthews felt like it).

Oh shut up about salaries, that’s all you guys talk about, he’s been awful this playoffs. He was less shit than others tonight, cash that paycheck. He did try tonight, I’ll give him that. He was engaged defensively. It’s sad though you feel the need to point that out, should be a given.

One caveat, we also dominated on the dot again tonight, so factor in zone starts, I should hope your excel files should look relatively good. It’s a mirage.

Have you ever played with guys that aren't mentally checked into a game? He basically was playing by himself and trying to win. And thats on top of trying to keep motivated while JT MM and AM making 30+m dollars are screwing the pooch.

I love every player and coach on the Leafs that give a damn and know what they are talking about. Praised Rielly, Nylander, Sammy, ROR, Bunting etc. They tried and played with heart, like winners. Matthews was mostly good as well and I praised him, but this game? He was a no show. Marner was worse than a 4th line scrub. Keefe is a dummy and Dubas is the dolt that kept him on this team.

You're just on his ass all the time. Go watch Boudreau interview about guys like Nylander. He isn't perfect but you need the zone entry guy and they aren't all going to chip and chase and go into the dirty areas. You take the good with the bad.

But not showing up in this game is unforgivable to me. Honestly anyone that ever really played hockey would know playing under conditions with MM AM and JT not even trying is unbearable and hard to keep moving your legs under.
