Gotta think this is a short term Dobson replacement, and if he plays well, could be moved for some assets at the deadline.

The baggage side of this could be a bit risky, but I can see the reasoning.

The deadline is a month away. the isles have 15 games. no team is going to give up assets for a guy they could have signed for free now after 15 games.

I think this is actually a solid signing. NYI has 0 PP contribution to speak of. Maybe him and Barzal can click well. Hopefully he can lay off the distractions and the outside media and be a reasonably good teammate.

when you judge PP improvement against his penchant to take stupid penalties, he may easily be a net negative.

TDA would be advised to consider Alexander Romanov before trying to **** with Ilya Sorokin.

The Isles were like that in November and December that’s why I made that post about D’Angelo lol literally have the blue line and all of the top four was out aside from Dobson ironically, Dobson is out now.

The only way I see D’Angelo maybe not getting claimed is because he has a reputation of rubbing people the wrong way and maybe some teams don’t want to deal with that
