He is 29. he is who he is. Also didnt he get into fights with his coach and teammates over there lol

Isles are garbage anyways. I do not understand this move at all.

You do not understand because you have no idea the isles situation. Is someone hurt maybe? No one to man the pp maybe?

folks can say what they want but hes an NHL caliber RHD puck moving dman who is fun as f*** to watch.

Good for tony. The league is more fun to watch when hes playing

1) Have we ever seen Tony D clean shaven?

2) Still don't understand all the hate for for him. We know he's a dummy, he has right wing politics, and he doesn't respond well to low IQ, good ol boy, hockey boomerism. You're a loser if that's enough for you to despise him. He was proven right with the Georgiev fight, we see the results of Rangers dev coaches heavily favoring Lindgren over him, and other than that there hasn't been a well-substantiated story about him being a lockerroom issue since juniors. He ended up out of the league because he's only playable on the PP.

3) Granted, Roy and Lou are the worst bosses he could have given his personality.

me as a mod right now

Glad to see him get another chance in the NHL. The hate he gets from 'fans' is disproportional to what his actions deserve.
Whether or not that's true, the way he wears on officials, his coaches, and his teammates is a totally established, and predictable reality. Although I have NO idea beyond the stats re Russia, he's worn out his welcome everywhere he's been. Bizarre to think that will change.

I'm an Islanders fan, and the smell of desperation is overpowering.

His banishment to the KHL has proven that he was right in picking a fight with a goalie and NYR's coaches preferring a defenseman who plays defense?

And I mean, no, it doesn't make anyone a "loser" to dislike a toxic teammate.

Gotta think this is a short term Dobson replacement, and if he plays well, could be moved for some assets at the deadline.

The baggage side of this could be a bit risky, but I can see the reasoning.
