yeah maybe think they can flip him if he starts putting up a ton of points but even so he’s not your typical TDL acquisition. who knows what Lou is thinking

Seemed like an amicable split from Russia and I haven't seen any real controversy from him in the past couple years at least. Still a gifted player, nothing wrong with the Isles giving it a shot.

I'm not saying he didn't deserve at least *some* of the negative attention he's garnered over his career but I think a lot of it was overblown.

Like, for example, his tiff with Georgiev. Georgiev is a massive headcase and he seems have gotten on the nerves of other teammates since, like Rantanen. TDA may not have been totally in the wrong there.

This is about his issues over the last 5 years or so, not the slurs in juniors.
