The missed blind side hit on Lukin was brutal. The kid has done it several times in the last two years. And Goyette gets suspended for 4 games!!! This league is a complete joke!!!

WJ
I don’t think they’d call anything on that blindside hit since they didn’t call anything on the Cohen hit.

I agree the officiating has been subpar this year with suspensions for petty things and things that actually harm the players safety go uncalled. Frustrating in both conferences.

If the coach can’t get this team up for games perhaps he’s not the person to lead this team.
Players don’t seem interested in the team game and Bloom has gone completely invisible. That trade could be the one that Mr Dennis may want back.
As of today I see them getting upset in the first round.

Erie who had been out scored 21-5 in their last 4 games comes in and dominates a team that has championship aspirations. That didn’t happen last year with Hamilton. They steamrolled the league after the trade deadline, we are a long LONG way from that.
Bingo 190,
This team has major concerns at this stage of the season and the PP is embarrassing for the talent out on the ice.
You don’t wait till 4 goals are in to change up the goaltending In a statement game like tonight.
l believe “A View from section 9” hit it right on the head a month ago with red flags concerning this team.
Coach has talked up this team to something they are not, they haven’t won nothing yet.
The next 2 weeks on the road and facing western opponents will be very interesting to say the least.

Maybe the goaltender could actually make a glove save 🤔. Midget AA calibre at best tonight....weak!

This team needs to play as a “Team”.
A lot of individual play right now.
The coach needs to set lines and let the kids get chemistry together before playoffs. The pp needs to change ASAP, nothing good about it. They looked lost most of the game today.

That would be the fourth kid Lukin has knocked out of the game with clean hard hits
Players should be aware of Lukin and the danger of being unaware

Thursday vs Saturday = Jekyll and Hyde. Who shows up in Ottawa tomorrow?
Outstanding goaltending has covered up a lot of defensive zone issues, you see it clearly when one of the other tenders than Dom are in the cage.
I honestly hope the recent nonsense will help them in the long term. Overcoming adversity can give one strength both in sport and life.

Former troop Daniel Walker signs a one year deal with Syracuse of the AHL
Always loved Walker. Congratulations Dan

Bloom & Jackson are missing Ertel. The battalion have not put together a very good first line since.
Maybe the line juggling is less about getting the first line going and more about figuring out where Zito settles in the line-up when Ertel returns?
I think Petrov-Wakely-Tarasevich can be left alone.
Has Zito-Arnsby-MacDonald been tried? I’d like to see that, rather than Zito with Petrov pushing Wakely to the 4th line.

Zito-Petrov had a lot of chemistry. I think they should leave those 2 alone.

Nice to see some goals from unexpected sources: Zito (2nd in last 14GP); Bloom (4th in last 20); OVS (1st in last 20 dating to end Dec.); Hislop (and I get he’s not necessarily expected to score, but still, 1st in last 38 to mid-Nov.).

In other stats-related news, K-Jack is pointless in last 4, 1A in last 6.

its a shinny league so when Lukin hits it stands out and kids used to having their heads down when they play are unsuspecting....

I'm really liking Procyszyn's game lately. Very strong on the puck. Seems like he's added some size. On the other side of things, what's wrong with Jackson? Skating is just not there anymore. Big guy but never hits!

Note from Wednesday’s workout:

Luc (“Bruzer”) Brzustowski was in regular gear, participated fully and looks ready to go. While not a difference maker, I think he will slot into the 3rd pair and represent an upgrade over Wyatt Kennedy.

Tough 3 in 2 ½ southwestern trip, SAG 4th (6W in last 10, incl. last 4), FLT 7th (3W last 10) and SAR 3rd (6W last 10, 3 in last 4). What is a reasonable expectation for number of points? I am thinking 2 or 3. Does anyone else want to weigh in?

I like your thinking 2 of 3 how far away is #9 Ertel

I think they win 2 of 3. Sarnia will be tough. Dom needs to have a strong weekend.

Just some thoughts from previous posts:
- I agree with EP21. He improves every game. He will be fun to watch next year.
- KJ26 and JB18 are lost without JE9. Jackson doesn’t need to be physical, he needs to score.
- PC4 has had a great season and doesn’t get enough credit. He gets it done every game.
- AW8 is looking more comfortable and should be even stronger come playoffs.
- I don’t know what to expect from LB20 this weekend. Hopefully, he stays healthy and will be fully ready for playoffs.
- they should keep OV16, LA11 and KM19 together.

Go troops go!

"Jackson doesn’t need to be physical, he needs to score".

If 5'4" forward can throw the body and finish checks, a 6'2" 200 pounder should be able to do the same. Every defenseman in the league knows they won't get hit if KJ is on the forecheck.

I agree with a guy like Therrien. Ertel is a key member on that line because he is physical and creates space.

Can't win unless #31 plays?? Lukin and Nelson both -4 last night! Time to insert #7 into the lineup to get some experience. Rotate 2-7-28 in and out. Never been a fan of Lukin!
