I was talking about the poster Leaf Nation.

I bet you feel silly now.

Not in the least.

Why would I feel silly for such an honest to goodness sincere motivation to help another human being?

How in the world would I know you were talking about a specific poster?

The funny thing is, Rielly makes an error and everyone sees it and post videos. OEL makes an error, no one sees it and the geniuses on HF declare him underrated and a top 5 NHL D without any statistics or accomplishments to back it up.

Players get more criticism in Toronto than anywhere else.

Drew Doughty has been brutal this year. There's an entire hilight package of mistakes you could make just from this year.

Sorry HF, you were wrong about Reilly. Leaf fans were right.

I could literally post videos like this for every single defenseman in the NHL.
But you're probably right. A couple of plays in game 40 of the season is a clear indication of a player's full ability.

When someone posts that Rielly is the Norris winner and best defenceman in the NHL thus far this season by reciting a stats scoring sheet, just a few hours before these played occurred. This is not a case of searching hard for a one off of why Rielly's continually misreads plays defensively. This just happened so it was not hard to find at all.

Preposterous. The same thing could be done for every single player in the history of the sport. Transparent and nonsensical posting is easier to find.

the Leafs play an elite, winning brand of exciting hockey, carrying the flag for Canada, and it's just leaving some posters here frothing at the mouth.

In all honesty - does anyone really think Rielly is the best defence man in the NHL - or even that he's having the best season?

I doubt you will find 2 more timely examples as were presented yesterday when it was pointed out Rielly is not a Norris candidate when actual defence is discussed. Rielly's mistakes were served up on a platter. Didn't even have to go back and conduct a search. So your looking for cases in the past to cherry pick do not hold water do they? Since they just happened when people were pointing out rightfully of Rielly's obvious weaknesses in his game.

With Geno and the D core struggling this season, Letang has really shown what he means to the Pens.

He should have a legit shot at the Norris this year.

They also get WAY more hype. Live by the sword, die by it.

Reilly is the perfect example of the hype train. He's the number 1 D-man of a very good team. Put other guys in his skates and they're gonna do as good.

Has Rielly really gotten much hype though? He certainly deserves hype this season. But if "Other Guys" can do as well, why is Hedman not doing as well with an even better team?

Just give it up. Every single player in the history of the game has gaffes and weaknesses. Your transparency is sad.

What other guys? Hedman? Doughty? Karlsson? As in, other Norris-level defencemen?

Anyone else in his spot you imagine would have 13 goals so far? (And on that note, have you seen his goals? They aren't screens from the blue line or tip-ins, they're snipes).

This has nothing to do with those pumping Rielly's tires for the Norris, when I and others have said unless you are just reading points totals from hockey dB, Rielly is prone to defensive gaffs, and in an afternoon game he proves this point as I showed with those 2 GDT clips that this is indeed true. Would you not agree the timing and Rielly's gaffes were timely proving this point?

No I do not. I'm also not going to waste any more time with you and your jaded non-objective and puerile posts. Toodle doo.

Those are just examples from tonights game alone that led to you directly losing a hockey game.
Yes, one game. And again, I could do the same for literally every defenseman in the NHL, in fact probably every player in NHL.
I guess its safe to say that there are no Norris level defensemen in the NHL.
