Josh Allen is sick. And I don't care what anyone says, I like Baker Mayfield. He's gritty and tough. Is he a Drew Brees? No. But he's a fighter. I like Goff too, so it will be tough to root the Det TB game because I'd like to see both those guys advance.

Allen is fun to watch. He'll win you a lot of games, but he'll also lose you some games too.

The DET/TB game comes down to if GB wins or not. I think TB is a better matchup for GB, but I for a story line I'd want to play DET. The chance for GB to give them payback for the last game of last year is just too fun. If GB loses (I think they will) I don't really care but it would probably be TB because I like their uniforms better.

I don't see SF losing at home this year to any of the teams left in the NFC. I just really want them to.

In every one of those games this season where people bitched about him costing the game, he put his team into the lead, in position to win with less than 2mins to go, then either the Defense or special teams or both gave up the game.

Would anyone trade JJ for one of the first two picks in the draft? Would CHI do it?

QB is more important than WR.
known, but JJ is one of, if not the best WR in the NFL, while Williams/Mayes are unproven commodities. You just have to go back to last year's #1 QB picked to reinforce just how uncertain the outcomes are.

We've had the best WR in the NFL before... without an elite QB... what did it accomplish?

JJ will get a Playoff 1st as it's highest pick. Similar to Adams, Hill, and Diggs in recent years.

He's a missing piece for contender player, not a building block for a bad team player. He'll be on his 5th year option ($20m) and can walk (or be franchised) after the season.

It would be more than one 1st. Jefferson is better than Diggs and 4-5 years younger than Adams and Hill were.

Probably not knowingly in the top 10 though. Football teams are weird with draft picks, mostly.

Nobody will offer a top 5 pick. You might get future 1st + more picks. Would be curious if it’s two 1sts or not.

Correct.

I'd say 2 1sts pretty easily, especially from a team like KC, after seeing what they were trotting out this year. Whether it would be worth it for us is another question.

Maybe im nitpicking but for the sake of conversation i dont think KC would be interested. Theyre paying Patrick Mahomes a butt ton of money now so they have to cheap out on other areas and the WR position is one of them. I think if they planned on paying a WR they would of kept Tyreek. Houston, Indy, maybe even the Pats would be more realistic destinations.

KC dumped Hill to Miami because of him needing to get paid a couple of years ago.

They did. And now they've seen the other side of having shitty receivers. Not saying that they'd absolutely do it, but I wouldn't cross them off.

You mean the defending SB champs? I'd cross them off. They'll get another WR in FA before trading a bunch of assets for a WR. They need to keep feeding their pipeline if they want to keep their window open. They already have ~$70m tied up in QB and TE and will spend another ~$50m-$70m on o-line. The money just isn't there if they want to have a defense.

Its also not like Rashee Rice isnt emerging as well. Is he as good as JJ? Na not at all.

I think If KC had that kind of money theyd spend it on the tackle position because thats a huge weak spot for them this year.

Wasn't Hill also a bit of a toxic personality?

I dunno about a toxic personality. I thought it was more that he just wanted to be paid like a top player at his position (which he is), similar to what KC did for Mahomes and Kelsey.

I'm not sure about Rice, MVS drops are the thing I think of with KC receivers this year. The dead cap ($2m?) for MVS isn't bad if they cut him this offseason, so unless he restructures his ($13m?) contract I think he's gone.

This is why I don't see KC going after a high priced receiver, they have needs at other positions. I don't see them trading away their picks because they need those young players to fill out the roster for cheap.

I also wondering if what GB has done this year with their young, cheap, no name receiving corps hurts the WR market a little bit. It is a copycat league afterall.

Rice has come on recently so well see. Jury is still out.

Why i mentioned a few teams who arent paying their QB or dont have a QB because they can afford to pay him and may want a piece that could help develop them.

Why would JJ sign long term on a team without a QB? He's going into his (~$20m?) 5th year option next season and is then a free agent. Then he's either lost for nothing or they franchise him a couple of times (this tends to make the player angry).

Just as a football fan I think it would be fun to see JJ in Houston with Stroud. Is it something that is realistic? I have no clue.
