Kuch has to get 19 assists in the last 13 games to reach the 100 assist season milestone.

No doubt in my mind that he gets to 100 apples.

Crazy that McDavid can't make up ground with a 4 assist game. Whoever wins the Ross this year will truly deserve it. All three have been amazing.

For McDavid it's kind of been a meh season. Something has been bothering his shot though it looks like it might be subsiding, been a below par season for him overall.

He should have 7-10 more goals at this point.

I know everyone's talking about the Hart, but what about the Ted Lindsay Award. How does everyone see that going? Will the players go with Kucherov or will they be in the same "lifetime achievement award" bubble as the media seems to be in (obviously assuming Kuch wins the AR)?

That's a good question. Much of the media have been hyping Mack for the Hart since early in the season, but it's much tougher to predict what the players are thinking. Could possibly see a scenario where Kuch wins Ross, Mack wins Hart, McD wins Lindsay.

How weird would it be to see 4 different forwards walk away with Ross, Rocket, Hart, and Lindsay?

I personally think MacKinnon as of right now is the front runner for the Hart and Ted Lindsey award.

Are we in an alternate reality in which McDavid's 22-23 doesn't exist?

In the past 30 years, there have been many seasons comparable to what Kucherov's doing and some that are much better (McDavid, Mario). Adjusted for league scoring, 15-16 Patrick Kane had an outstanding season, close to what Kuch is doing now.

And this year alone, McKinnon is right there with Kucherov. So clam your tits?
i disagree with some of this, and agree with some of this

however, my world view has been forever changed by trying to wrap my mind around how one can clam his tits!

if he finishes at 135-140 points, which looks the case.... i would think that that is actually quite above average for him?

He is putting up points, but ask any Oiler fan and they will tell you besides a night here or there, he hasn't been himself most if not all of the season.....

amazing about McDavid not playing at his best, while also shooting at the lowest % of his life, while outproducing all but one season. It defies logic. He truly works in mysterious ways.

Outside of his early season injury he's scoring at the same pace as last season, more at even strength, and according to all Oilers fans playing much better defense. Also his next highest point total is 123, so this is far from a meh season lol

but there has to be a reason he isnt leading the Art Ross other than, "some other guys are comparably good"!

that will simply not fly.

I thought McDavid would for sure catch up at some point, but credit to Kuch he's played very consistent all season long. I think Kucherov will hit 140+. I'm really enjoying this high scoring nhl, the mid 2010s was such a drag in comparison.
Jamie Benn won the Art Ross scoring like 80 points. Not that long ago come to think of it.

Let me clarify, in terms of the Art Ross race, not disputing McDavid's 23/23 season. But the race was not interesting. If McDavid somehow wins this years, it's an epic tale.
