That is a big if at this pointSo if McDavid finishes 3rd in scoring, it would be the worst finish of his career.
Excluding his rookie season.
Truly a remarkable player.

I agree, but hes guaranteed to finish top 3 at this point. So it's quite remarkable that's a 3rd place point finish would be a career worst season for him. Just shows you how dominant hes been.
He also has at least top 3 PPG locked up for all nine seasons of his career so far. Best part is that the crowd who uses partial seasons the most in PPG can’t say shit because of who is just ahead of in his rookie campaign: Crosby!
They're going to be in shambles when he ties Lemieux in Art Ross' (either this year or very soon), surpasses him in Hart Trophies - hes already equalled him in Pearson trophies.
Three players this year are going to pass 130 points, maybe 140 points and two of them won’t be taking home the Ross. What a crazy race this year.
What a rise though. The NHL is becoming a joke for Mackinnon
A lot of people sleeping on the fact that MacK and McDavid have 2 head to head games over the next stretch. Those easily could determine who comes out ahead in the race. Tampa has the easiest schedule of the 3 teams so it still is very much a 3 horse race.McDavid still feels inevitable. Really don't see him slowing down.
2 games in hand on MacKinnon and only 2 points back. Would be surprised if McDavid isn't back ahead by the time they meet up again 2 games from now.
Maybe using his energy betterMcDavid looks like he is putting up EA numbers
109 points in his past 54 games (2.02 PPG).
65 in his past 29 (2.24 PPG).
And he looked so off this year, Not the same "dominating" style we are used to and he looks off so many damn shots.
