All we do know is he's been cleared by the NHL/police/Avs AFTER the story had been leaked. The details made it seem pretty bad. As dumb as the NHL has been in the past/with everything going on would they actually clear up something illegal/a raging substance abuse problem that's went public? Different story had they been able to keep it quiet but it hit the news cycle.

The most likely scenario based on the information we have is that Nichushkin was with a prostitute who may have been brought into the country illegally. Any of that being true would be more than enough for them to want to keep this quiet.

That you jumped the assumption that is must be rape says a lot more about you than it does about the situation.

It is legitimately weird the physician isn't back, but not entirely surprising. His handling basically meant the Avs couldn't keep it completely quiet which is their natural preference.
