My guess is the team kicked him out, rather than him bailing on his own accord.

I suspect the recent theory posted in here is the correct one: He tied one on, decided to grab a hooker for the occasion, and was so wasted he missed practice. Hence, they went looking for him in his hotel room, then later decided to send him home.

My goodness some weird leaps here. You can rape a prostitute, paying does not mean you're entitled to bypass consent in all areas. It is possible to rape and have no charges brought (it is honestly very common). There is nothing signaling Nuke raped this woman, going to that level is a leap. There is strong evidence the Avs went to lengths to keep Nuke out of the legal system.

It is also simply very weird the physician is not back. There could certainly be coincidence here, but the sniff test isn't great. Especially considering how this is normally handled across the league and really all sports. This shouldn't be shocking to anyone.

You did this to yourself by implying that it's not possible to rape a prostitute (and no, I'm not accusing Nichushkin of rape).

If a prostitute is forced into prostitution (such as by a pimp beating her, trafficking her, taking her passport) then she's not really consenting to sex.

If a prostitute accepts money for sex that still isn't a license for the person paying her to do anything they want without limitations. If she accepts money for vaginal intercourse and you put it in her ass without asking, that's rape. If she decides she doesn't want to be a prostitute anymore halfway through and tries to leave and you don't let her, that's rape. If you pay her for one session and then try to screw her again without paying, that's rape. If you tell her you're going to use a condom and then take it off when she's not looking and screw her anyway, that's rape. If she's too intoxicated, that's rape.

Basically, your posts show a lack of understanding of consent. Consent is an ongoing thing. You don't just convince someone to say yes to sex once and then go nuts on them indefinitely.

I'll also point out that while it makes sense that she may have been a prostitute, we're also making an assumption on that. She could have just been someone local selling him something to get by. You would think Val could afford a more high class escort, but maybe that's not a requirement.

Either way this is an unfortunate situation all around, but the league knows what happened and isn't concerned, so the worst case scenarios that people have come up with are extremely unlikely. After Chicago and Columbus it's hard to believe they'd help sweep this under the rug.

Val seems to be doing better. Hopefully the woman is too, regardless of her involvement.

Prostitutes are human beings. If they're so inebriated that they need to go to the hospital, they are not in a state where they can consent to sex.

Dude I like you and I'm trying to help you out here, but I think this may be a bit of a blind spot for you. Which is ok, we all have them.

Your description of sex workers make up just a fraction that are doing it. The high class escorts making lots of money or the ones that are doing it to pay for college or something. The ones that voluntarily entered into it and can leave when they want to.

There's a shit load of people that are literally forced into it somehow and can't leave. Especially foreign women who found a way to get here by boat, only for them to arrive, have their passports stolen so they won't leave, and literally forced into prostitution, and threatened with their life if they leave or go to the police.

And regardless of which group they're in, both can literally be raped, because the worst of the this world prey on them, and know that they won't go to the police, and think nobody will care or notice if something happens to them or if they disappear.

Again I'm not saying that's what happened here, but it's important to point this out.
