Don't like that they sent him down before the game against his brother. His parents were in town to watch him for the first time according to

What?!

Who's call was that, that's ****ing ridiculous.

First game against eachother in the bigs, and he gets sent down the night before? Brutal.

Unless its some weird request by the family not wanting to see the brothers face off against each other, this is something I could hate Dubas and Keefe for.

You have to EARN your roster spot. Robertson is close but he is not ready. Also Simmons is stealing his pay checks right now. Cannot believe how soft he has become. The best player in the league has to fight his own fights,,,, sad.

Sigh of relief, he’s back. The entire Jets organization is trash regardless. Don’t think I’ve seen so many intent to injure plays from a single other franchise.

Yup, garbage organization. They can't keep up on the ice and resort to dirty plays. Knees, elbows, cross-checks you name it.

The Robertson brothers played against each other...not sure what everyone is referrng too???

The problem is he's trying to do too much. I hope he gets it figured.

It's a mix of that buzzy, intensity that doesn't do anything and tracking too close to the puck at all times like he has to be there for the takeaway when the opposition has it or the first pass option for a teammate. He needs to learn the art of ghosting in and out of the play and getting clear and open Brett Hull styles since his big weapon is a slow wind up slapper. I wonder if they might try him as a point shot option on the PP and see how it looks?

If he doesn’t make it out of camp it’s a letdown but it’s not the end of the world.

But if he doesn’t get a solid amount of games - at least 30 I’d say, then I think it’s very concerning, given he plays a position of weakness and the injuries have piled up.

And I don’t want to hear about his brother who’s six inches taller and 50 lbs heavier. I’m pulling for him but I’m not super optimistic.

Robertson will be fine, if he needs a full year in the AHL that's okay too as long as he continues to get better. People get prospect fatigue here pretty quickly as they did with Liljegren, but Robertson had the 10th highest goals per game in AHL history for a 20 year old last year (just 28 games).

Even if he just repeats that rate as a 21 year old he would be amongst the top 20 in G/GP all time for a 21 year old. He's a good player, may just need more time to round out his overall game.

Maybe he'll figure it out in April. Maybe next season. He certainly hasn't figured it out now.

I don't think TOR can afford to give him a long leash in the NHL. It's a shame because a good situation is when your RFAs are hungry/playing well but on manageable contracts.

Robertson will be fine, but I don't know if it will happen soon. Perhaps not in TOR...

Ugh these stats are hardly going to translate to the NHL.

Do you know these names:

Red Alma, Bronco Horvath, Dick Gamble, Zellio Toppazzini?

They're all AHL record holders.
