Puck drops in less than 3 hours.
Nothing wrong with day-drinking IceDogs fans, At those prices inside the vault, nothing wrong with sneaking a few inside that Olde teddy bear either.
NB 3rd in 3. Time to lick the chops.

And, while you are down GU.

That 2024 8th for Dylan Roobroeck still looks damn good.

I watch him late Sunday afternoons and the kid still can’t skate. Big circles.
Top 9 player at best.

See post above about credibility.

Despite blowing a two goal lead in the third period the Icedogs recovered and scored the final two goals of the third and game to shade North Bay 6 to 5 . Michaud had the hat trick including the winning goal He also scored twice for the Dogs with Keene the other goal.no goals for either team on the power play. New season high crowd tonight 4,274 fans at the Meridian Centre.Next game Thursday at home against Hamilton.

Not a bad hire. Not a slam dunk but I think it is a shot in the right direction.
It's too bad it took them this long to bring in someone with OHL coaching experience.
IMO they really should have kept Jody Hull around as a guy with head coaching experience in the OHL + experience coaching many of these players last year.

i think they wanted to only being in guys who were going to work for penuts. thats what you get when you pay jr b prices, you get jr b coaching.

It's obvious that despite Niagara normally having one of the highest attendance numbers in the league, the new owner wants to be a low budget team. Niagara doesn't need to pay a GM since the owner is the GM and none of the coaches had any experience above Jr. B (before Kuwabara was hired). Not to mention that the IceDogs scouting staff is half the size of most of the other OHL teams.

the scouting team previously was awful, I’m not sure this group will be any better

Agreed.

Problem is the owner does things his way, look no further than the success of the 99's and Bandits have had under dobbeler. Hull was too expensive and a threat to the owner's ego, that and it was clear early on that Hull wasn't going to be the hockey-lackey the owner was seeking.

I'm guessing Hull was already halfway to the WHL when ownership changed.

ooh to be a fly on the wall when dobbelaer realizes Kuwabara isn't the hockey-lackey he was hoping for.

Kuwabara is a step in the right direction for the team.
But huge question is, will he be "allowed" to hire an assistant and advance OHL scout?

I have to say that I really loved the Meridian Centre. What a great place to watch a game.

My only criticism is that the scoreboard could be a bit better, but the layout and open concept is awesome. It's exactly what a Jr A rink should be.

Hopeful for a good game for both teams tonight. What do we expect from Niagara? Strengths/Weaknesses?

The forwards are fast but have a tough time to finish Defence is weak wish it bit of. surprise because they are veterans Jesus probably the best of tge bunch . Rosey the better goaltender but has been nursing an injury but his back. Flores gets burn on rebounds. Flores started last night expect Rosey will start tonight.
