If they hire Quenville they clearly are brain dead. By all accounts fantastic guy but made a colossal mistake the Bruins should not go there after Mitch Miller & Lucic went bad.

The coaches like Gallant & Lavy & Torts who been with 5 teams - gag

David Carle has heart issues in the past I would stay away from Boston

Mike Sullivan yes but he’s out even if available; his family isn’t up for 98.5 slob Bertrand and Felger & Mazz on slow days making fun of the McAvoy-Sullivan relationship

Who’s Pasta recommend since he’s the face of the franchise and would feel comfortable with :biglaugh:

Pastrnak becomes a super star elite leader under Sacco

Geekie becomes a 30+ goal scorer

Just two examples

Who wants Sacco coach : Pasta, Geekie

Other coaches can also play Pasta and Geekie together. No way Sweeney risks his job by installing Sacco as HC, history has shown us that Sacco is not a good NHL HC. I think you realize that Sacco would be an incredibly unpopular hiring thus the pro Sacco posts to rile us up, pretty funny.

Let me ask you a question, would you prefer a lot of pain for a short time or a medium amount of pain for a long time? Because I hate to say it, but those are likely our two options. Maybe they can pull a Washington and flip things around quickly, but it's going to take a lot of the right moves to make that happen, the type of moves that Sweeney hasn't done in his 10 years at the helm.

Rebuilds suck, and the last thing you want to do is become Buffalo or Detroit, who are on their 14th and 9th years, respectively, of playoff-less hockey. Buffalo is certainly a warning sign of fully engaging the tank, as they've drafted 1st twice and 2nd twice during that time. Detroit, on the other hand, has only drafted top 5 once during their streak.

This team needs top flight, blue chip scorers. It's desperate for a true 1C. Look around the league at the top centers and how they were acquired. Most of them were via the draft. Not all of them were with high draft picks, but they certainly give you the best shot.

Awesome, so what is your plan to do this? Are we trading Pasta? McAvoy. Leaving 25 million cap space unspent this summer. this team may not be a cup team next year, but they are also very far from the worst team in hockey

Sweeney will definitely be fired he does that
I would narrow the choices, down to 3 Pandolfo, doubt it, Tocchet, not sure what is going on with Vancouver, Sacco, most other names being floated have been fired, and many are rethreads. This was thrown on Sacco, but all assistants must be canned,

Time for the NHL to move on from coaches like Laviolette and Torterella.

When the Bruins are on the hunt for their next head coach, communication skills need to be at the forefront of that search.
Actually, both are blunt communicators.

I guess that doesn't fly today's NHL.

"He made me uncomfortable."

Blunt communication to today's player could be interpreted as poor communication. Times have changed. Players increasingly want to know the "why" and "I don't like how you play" or "I think you are playing like S&^%" isn't enough of an explanation.

You also can’t get away with just being a giant asshole to everyone any more. Or at least we’re hopefully seeing the death rattle for guys like that.

We disagree often, but I’m so with you on finding a coach who is creative and way more adaptable to todays NHL, and one who can get the most out of todays player.

I am no Jack Adams fan.

Yes, today's coaches have to communicate with their players in a different way.

That doesn't mean holding their hand.

I think everyone needs to grow up about this crap.

Wait, I hear the PC police 🚨 sirens wailing toward my door.

You think Spencer Carbery doesn’t hold his players accountable? That he isn’t tough and demanding?

David Carle would be my top choice. If this retool is going to have any success you need a guy that can onboard the young players effectively. Get the most out of them quickly and help them find success on this stage right away.

Mike Sullivan would be my guy if they're looking for somebody with experience and the Pens fire him. Simply think he's been in Pittsburgh way way too long and is in dire need of a change of scenery.

Don't know anything about Ryan Mougenel, the Providence HC. He any good?
